Compact 600mm lighting

20W LED tri-proof light for restricted mounting space

Choose a 20W LED tri-proof light when the service space needs an enclosed fitting with a compact body.
  • Published 600mm model for localized commercial and utility lighting.
  • Surface or wall mounting can be discussed against the available support.
  • Color, voltage and diffuser options suit different installation needs.
  • VST can begin with a simple photograph and the dimensions of the available space.

Limited space

Leave room to connect and service the fitting

A short luminaire can still be difficult to install when its cable entry, cover or fixings sit too close to surrounding equipment. Plan the space needed to connect and service it.
VST’s 20W LED tri-proof light has a 600mm body for spaces that cannot take a longer fitting. The 2ft LED triproof fixture comes with its own driver and enclosed light source. As a 20W LED tri-proof light supplier, VST can help you choose a version for the space and task. Check access at the ends and fixings as well as the position reserved for the body.
✓

Cable-entry clearance

Allow space for the incoming cable and its proper route into the gland. A body that fits between two obstructions may still leave insufficient connection access.

✓

Local viewing task

Decide what needs to be visible, such as a control label, doorway, step or the room as a whole. The fitting’s size alone cannot determine the light distribution you need.

✓

Future service access

Consider how the fitting will be reached after surrounding equipment is installed. Avoid positions where a simple inspection requires dismantling unrelated building services.

Practical engineering

Work through the access and connection details

VST is a 20W LED tri-proof light manufacturer with structural, electrical and lighting engineers who can help specify a fitting for a restricted mounting position.
✓

Photo-based starting point

Send site photographs and the relevant measurements. VST can identify the obstruction first, then ask for further drawing detail only where it is needed.

✓

Electrical matching

State the incoming voltage so our engineers can identify a suitable driver option. Compact fittings should not be assumed to share the same input.

✓

Task-focused optical support

VST can help choose distribution and color for the local task. A utility room may need a different approach from a stair landing, even with the same housing.

✓

Inspection checkpoints

Checks cover incoming materials, assembly, the finished product and dispatch. Record critical access or connection details in the order so those requirements remain explicit.

Compact format

What is a 20W LED tri-proof light?

This is an enclosed linear luminaire rated at a nominal 20-watt input. VST’s 600mm model is intended for compact lighting positions.
A 2ft LED triproof light is a nominal format; two feet is 609.6mm, while the published VST body is 600mm long. Verify the actual fitting and its access envelope rather than treating the labels as exact equivalents. The assembly provides general lighting where its output and distribution suit the task. A compact enclosure does not automatically make it suitable inside machinery, on an emergency circuit or in a hazardous atmosphere. Those uses introduce separate requirements that need to be addressed explicitly.

Compact model

The standard 600mm model

Our 20W LED tri-proof light factory supplies this compact model. Specify its options as part of the complete fitting rather than treating them as separate products.

600mm VST-STF-60-20W

The standard compact fitting delivers 2,600 lm at 20W. Its 600 × 82 × 74mm envelope is a useful starting point for space-constrained service installations.

Supply preparation

Prepare your compact-model order

Match the sample, label and packing to the version you intend to buy.

Hands-on fit check

Try an evaluation unit in the proposed space to check the body and cable entry before committing to several installation positions.

Compact packing support

Internal packing can secure the short fitting and keep loose accessories away from it. Design the final carton around the supplied assembly.

Distinct product identity

VST can apply approved private labels to identify the intended voltage and light color, helping you match received fittings to the installation schedule.

Coordinated delivery

The lighting cartons can travel in a consolidated shipment with other equipment. Discuss dispatch requirements for the whole consignment when planning the order.

Physical details

Three parts that matter in a small space

Component choices influence the light, the visible surface and the mounting envelope.

LED package

Compact light-source arrangement

The 600mm model uses SMD 2835 LEDs. Choose the light source for the required color and complete-fixture performance, then assess the finished fitting where labels, steps or equipment need to be seen. Emitter count and package size alone cannot show whether it will suit that task. The close-up illustrates the package type, not this model’s particular internal layout.

Diffuser

The visible optical surface

In a confined room, the fitting may come close to eye level as someone reaches equipment or uses a stair. Compare the opal and transparent covers from those positions, looking at both the surface appearance and the visibility of individual sources. A lower power rating does not by itself make the light comfortable to look at. Assess the finish in the intended viewing conditions.

Housing

End access around the enclosure

Allow space around the grey PC body for installation and servicing. The cable needs a clear approach to the gland, without being trapped against nearby equipment. You also need access to operate the fixings. Planning these clearances makes later inspection easier while retaining the enclosure as supplied, with no need to alter its body or add unapproved openings.

Compact applications

Where a 20W LED tri-proof light can be useful

Each location introduces a different task or access constraint despite the shared short-body format.

Utility cupboards

Utility cupboards need visible equipment labels and safe access within a small enclosure or room. Check door movement, nearby pipework and the clearance for cable entry before selecting a mounting position. VST can examine a photograph and key dimensions to discuss the compact fitting’s configuration and whether the proposed location remains accessible.

Stair landings

A stair landing requires clear visibility at changes in level, with fittings placed outside normal movement and reach hazards. Establish the viewing angle, mounting height and separate emergency-lighting requirements before selecting the assembly. VST can discuss optical appearance and a mounting configuration appropriate to the landing, without treating the standard fitting as emergency equipment.

Pump-room access points

Access beside pumps may need localized light for valves and control labels in a damp environment. Describe splash direction, vibration and nearby hot surfaces, and identify a sound independent mounting position. VST can help assess enclosure requirements and the connection arrangement for the specific access point rather than assuming the pump can support the fitting.

Cold-room entrance zones

The approach to a cold room needs clear visibility while people and goods pass through the doorway. Record temperature changes, condensation and door-clearance constraints at the intended mounting position. VST can discuss the appropriate enclosure configuration and operating conditions for the entrance zone, with installation inside the cold room evaluated as a separate requirement.

Short sheltered accessways

A short sheltered accessway may have limited mounting space between a door and adjacent services. Check local rain exposure, the incoming circuit and the surfaces requiring light, particularly thresholds or uneven steps. VST can help select a compact configuration and discuss positioning from a simple sketch of the access route.

Check additional structural changes against the available enclosure space before committing them to the order.
VST assembles the compact model to the agreed component specification. Production and quality staff can define checks for your order. If access is the main constraint, keep the cable-entry and mounting details in that specification throughout production.
Have a qualified electrician isolate the power. Check the label against the incoming circuit and attach the luminaire to suitable supports using its instructions. Leave the required cable approach and cover access, secure the gland correctly and check operation once the enclosure is fully closed.

Compact product questions

Remaining questions about the 20W LED tri-proof light

A 20W LED tri-proof light still needs room for connection and access. Before ordering, work through any circuit or operating requirements that the body dimensions and power rating cannot settle. These questions address those remaining choices for a compact installation.

The published input options are AC mains ranges, not 24V. Do not connect the standard fitting to a low-voltage supply or assume its internal driver can be bypassed. Describe the low-voltage requirement separately if that is the circuit available at your location.

Record the access envelope as well as the body dimensions.
Area What to measure or check
At the ends Cable approach and gland access
Above the body Support position and fastening access
Along the sides Space to operate the cover fastening
Around the room Door movement and service-equipment clearance

Only after the machine-specific conditions are assessed. Vibration, temperature, fluids, supply voltage and access may differ substantially from a building service room. The compact format alone does not establish an equipment-integration approval or compatibility with the machine’s electrical system.

That depends on the specified detection and timing behavior. Describe stationary work, obstructions and the desired response when movement stops. A generic sensor option is insufficient to decide suitability for a position where someone may remain still while inspecting equipment.

The standard model does not establish an emergency-lighting function. An escape route may require a separately specified and compliant emergency solution. Provide the project requirement before treating the compact fitting as a replacement for existing emergency equipment.
