Protected linear lighting

Select the seal around the whole lamp

Choose a waterproof LED tube light as a complete assembly. Its body, end closures, cable entry, and installation conditions together determine what protection it provides.
Waterproof LED tube lights suit installations where ordinary open lamps are inappropriate. Describe humidity, splashing, weather, and cleaning separately. VST’s AC T8 specifications list IP20 with an IP65 option, so check which version is supplied. Your waterproof LED tube supplier can discuss the construction and evidence. A sealed exterior or gland alone does not establish immersion, chemical resistance, UV stability, or corrosion performance.
✓

Describe the exposure

Explain where moisture comes from: condensation, splashes, weather, or cleaning. The lamp and its supporting evidence need to cover that exposure.

✓

Define the installed boundary

Check the lamp together with its cable entry, junction, and mounting. A protected tube still needs a suitable connection outside the enclosure.

✓

Check service access

Leave room for cable routing and lamp removal without straining the seals. The location needs to allow both correct installation and later maintenance.

Protected-assembly support

Make the environmental requirement specific

VST can discuss the waterproof LED tube light once you describe its exposure and electrical connection.
✓

Sealing discussion

Our engineers can assess the cable exit and end closure you need against the installation, then identify which protected construction should be evaluated.

✓

Configuration-specific evidence

As a waterproof LED tube manufacturer, VST can help check whether protection documents cover the selected finished assembly, its sealing structure, cable entry and installation requirements. Catalog IP65 availability does not establish a test result for every supplied tube.

✓

Rechargeable development context

VST has published a custom rechargeable waterproof-tube case. Specify battery operation separately, with the electrical design and mechanical requirements it introduces.

✓

Packing around cable exits

Leave room for glands and cable exits in the carton. Suitable packing can keep handling and transport loads off the cable and sealing points.

Protection boundary

Define the waterproof LED tube light assembly

Check protection against the stated construction and test conditions.
A sealed tube protects its electrical parts through the enclosure, end closures, and cable entry. IP65 describes dust and water-jet protection under specified tests. It does not cover immersion or every cleaning chemical. A lamp with an IP65 option also differs from a complete protected fixture in what is supplied. VST supports waterproof tube manufacturing for the requested assembly. Check the enclosure and installed connections, then request evidence of their protection. Specify corrosive chemicals or explosive-atmosphere requirements separately from water ingress.

Protected tube options

Compare the sealed construction and power route

When choosing a waterproof LED tube light, check its protection, power arrangement, and service requirements separately.

Protection checkpoints

Evaluate the complete assembly

Check the protection stated for the waterproof LED tube light and the complete assembly it covers.

Cable-entry fit

Match the cable diameter and gland assembly to the seal. Check that entry as part of the lamp, since an accessory considered alone cannot establish assembly protection.

Protection evidence

As a waterproof LED tube vendor, VST can help identify the model and assembled construction a protection document covers. A general family photograph cannot establish the document’s coverage.

Seal protection in transit

Keep avoidable packing loads off glands and closures. Check the tube supports and cable position in the carton before preparing the assembly for shipment.

Optics after enclosure

Check useful light through the selected protective enclosure. A sealed body may produce a different optical result from an open tube or another cover.

Enclosed construction

Physical parts that define the protected tube

Check the light source and the sealed enclosure separately when selecting a waterproof LED tube light.

Light source

LED light source

The LED source determines light output and color; the sealed construction provides protection. Evaluate output in the selected enclosure and under the intended operating conditions. The package photograph does not specify the internals or performance of every sealed tube. Changes to the source or operating load may affect the assembly. Check those changes together with its thermal and electrical design.

Sealing interface

Cable gland

The gland seals the point where the cable enters the closure. Its cable diameter, seal engagement, and strain relief need to suit the lamp assembly. The tube photograph shows this exterior detail, but a gland’s presence does not establish an IP test result. Follow the selected installation instructions and route the cable without tension that could disturb the entry after the tube is mounted.

Structural detail

Tube enclosure

The enclosure surrounds the light source and electrical parts. Its integrity depends on the body, mating closures, and intended servicing method. Inspect damage, mating surfaces, and attachment points before installation. A white shell alone does not establish impact resistance, UV performance, or chemical tolerance. Request evidence for the material and complete assembly, especially where the lamp will face cleaning agents or prolonged environmental exposure.

Supplier context

Evaluate VST for a protected lighting requirement

Watch the company and customer videos when discussing a waterproof LED tube light with VST.

Company introduction for project evaluation

The company introduction is a starting point for evaluating VST for protected tubes. Describe the exposure and cleaning conditions directly to our team so the supply discussion addresses the enclosure and installed connections your site needs.

Customer cooperation perspective

The approved customer video adds a view of working with VST. Agree who will communicate construction changes and answer assembly questions, especially when the enclosure, cable entry, and installation requirements must be coordinated.

Environmental fit

Match protection to the actual environment

Match the waterproof LED tube light to its exposure, mounting, and cable connection.

Farm utility rooms

Farm utility rooms may need a protected lamp above work or cleaning areas. Specify humidity, dust, cleaning methods, and whether weather can reach the lamp. VST can discuss seals and cable entry for that installation. Chemical and corrosion requirements need separate assessment; an ingress rating alone does not establish those properties.

Processing utility areas

Processing utility areas may need enclosed lighting near benches or cleaning equipment. Specify the cleaning agent, contact method, and exposure duration before choosing waterproof LED tube lights. Engineering support can address the enclosure and electrical connection. Aggressive washdown or chemical exposure requires evidence for the particular construction being proposed.

Pump-service rooms

Damp pump-service rooms need readable equipment and clear access routes. Identify the splash source, cable route, and any hazardous-location requirement before choosing a tube. VST can help specify a sealed lamp for a non-hazardous installation. An IP designation does not establish explosion protection, so those requirements must be assessed separately.

Sheltered outdoor work areas

Protected tubes may suit covered outdoor work areas when the exposure is specified. Check rain access, sunlight, ambient conditions, and the mounting beneath the shelter. VST can discuss the enclosure and cable route for that position, with UV and corrosion performance checked separately from the lamp’s stated water-ingress protection.

Define the protected assembly

Tell us where water can reach the lamp

Send the lamp location, exposure, cleaning method, and power requirement. Your waterproof LED tube light manufacturer can help identify the enclosure and connection requirements to evaluate for the proposed lamp.

Discuss the sealed construction, cable entry, mounting, CCT, input, labeling, and packing. A custom waterproof LED tube supplier can assess rechargeable operation separately. Battery duration, outdoor material properties, and protection evidence need to cover the selected design.
Production needs consistent enclosure mating, cable entry, electrical assembly, and inspection against the agreed construction. Verification should cover the stated protection requirement. Appearance checks and aging cannot replace an ingress test for the selected assembled lamp.
Qualified personnel should isolate the supply and follow the enclosure and cable-entry instructions. Maintain the seals, provide strain relief, and secure the lamp to a suitable surface. Protect external connections as required. Open or alter a sealed lamp only if its instructions expressly allow it.

Protected-assembly order

Ordering a protected tube assembly

Agree the construction before settling order terms.
01

Yes. Specify the enclosure and connection so the sample represents the assembly you need. Its charge may be credited toward a later order by agreement. Checking how the sample looks does not replace the environmental evidence required for it.
02

Current T8 records list 120 pieces and an IP65 option. A custom seal, cable entry, or rechargeable assembly may have a different minimum. Ask for the MOQ once the required construction is clear.
03

Regular production commonly takes 2 to 3 weeks, light changes 3 to 4 weeks, and extensive customization 4 to 6 weeks. Seal design, materials, approval, and scheduling affect the plan. Development stages and transit fall outside these typical production ranges.
04

Custom cartons can accommodate the cable exit and tube length. Agree the cable position and lamp supports inside the carton. Packing protects the assembly in transport; it does not establish the lamp’s environmental rating.
05

Agree coverage for the ordered assembly and its operating conditions. Regular products generally have 3- or 5-year options. A protected enclosure does not automatically receive the longest term or coverage for chemical exposure.
06

Send the batch reference, issue description, and installation photos or video. If a VST product fault is confirmed, replacement may be sent separately or with a subsequent shipment. Damage unrelated to the product is assessed separately.

Protection questions

Remaining questions about protected installations

Choose a waterproof LED tube light for a specified environment. An ingress designation or exterior photograph leaves some application questions unanswered. Check the remaining requirements below before agreeing which assembly to order.

Only with an assembly documented for the intended immersion. IP65 does not establish suitability. Send the depth, duration, and electrical requirements for assessment. The sealed appearance of a waterproof LED tube light does not prove it can remain submerged.

Occasional splashLocation and splash source.
WashdownPressure, temperature, and cleaning procedure.
Chemical contactAgent, concentration, duration, and material evidence.
Specify these exposures separately. Ordinary water-ingress protection does not establish pressure-washing or chemical resistance; request suitable evidence for those conditions.

No. Salt and chemicals may damage materials even when an enclosure meets its water-ingress rating. Request corrosion or material evidence for the chosen lamp and environment. An IP result does not establish these different performance properties.

Only with compatible connectors, load, cables, and protection specified for the complete arrangement. A gland-fed tube is not automatically linkable. Its seal does not protect an unrelated connector or exposed junction placed between lamps.

No. Rechargeable operation alone does not establish emergency-lighting compliance, automatic switching behavior, required duration, or inspection obligations. VST’s published rechargeable tube is a custom development example. State any emergency-lighting requirements separately so the system can be assessed for them.

Lamp assemblyBody, closures, and declared protection scope.
Installed connectionCable route, gland, junction, and strain relief.
EnvironmentActual exposure at both lamp and connection.
Check the complete arrangement. The lamp’s protection cannot compensate for an unsuitable external junction or damaged cable entry.

Only with the hazardous-location approval required for that environment. IP65 is not an explosion-protection rating. Identify the zone or classification and its requirements before selecting a lamp. Ordinary waterproof LED tube light supply cannot replace an assembly qualified for that hazardous location.
