Long fixture retrofit

T8 8ft LED bulbs matched to your existing fixtures

Choose T8 8ft LED bulbs to match the holders and circuit in your existing building.
  • Check the 2400mm dimension against the nominal eight-foot requirement.
  • Identify whether you need bi-pin, FA8 or R17d ends.
  • Assess useful aisle illumination as well as lamp wattage.
  • Plan end protection and handling for the long cartons.

Keep the fixture working

Match the lamp to the fixture you want to keep

T8 8ft LED bulbs can replace suitable long fluorescent lamps while you keep serviceable fittings. The new lamp needs to fit the holders, work with the circuit and deliver useful light where you need it.
VST is an 8ft T8 LED bulb manufacturer with support for checking cap fit and fixture layout. Start with a lamp-label photo and a clear view of both holders. Include the circuit type so the proposed lamp matches the electrical supply as well as the physical fitting. Nominal length is only a starting point; use the actual dimensions to establish fit.
✓

Record the entire span

When measuring 8ft T8 LED bulbs, use the dimensions that define the fit between the lamp and its holders. Body length may exclude necessary cap or contact features.

✓

Assess the reflector

An LED tube directs light differently from a fluorescent lamp. Retained reflectors and mounting height influence illumination on vertical shelves and work surfaces.

✓

Separate replacement batches

Group fixtures by their connections and supply wiring before counting lamps. Fittings with the same nominal length may need separate order lines because their circuits differ.

Long-product supply

Plan the fit and delivery of long lamps

As your 8ft T8 LED bulb supplier, VST can help resolve the fitting and handling details that affect installation work and the condition of the delivery.
✓

Mechanical engineering input

Our structural engineers can check cap geometry and fixture clearance with you. Resolve any dimensional obstacle before committing to the full replacement quantity.

✓

Long-carton protection

VST can discuss restraints, end cushions and outer cartons for long lamps. Choose packing that suits the tube length and how the shipment will be handled.

✓

Consolidated freight planning

VST can help consolidate the shipment with your other goods. Include the long-carton dimensions when planning container space and the final delivery.

✓

Traceable order configuration

The order specification records the configuration you choose for T8 8ft LED bulbs. This helps distinguish similar-looking lamps intended for different buildings or circuits.

Length and interface

What defines T8 8ft LED bulbs?

The eight-foot designation describes a nominal length class. T8 identifies a tube format; neither term alone determines the lamp's electrical connection.
Eight feet is 2438.4mm. VST lists its long-tube model at 2400mm, so compare the drawing with your fitting before choosing it. Single-pin FA8, recessed-contact R17d and bi-pin lamps each need matching holders. The electrical options also differ: a lamp may require a compatible ballast, specified bypass wiring or an external driver. Select T8 8ft LED bulbs by checking the length standard and connection together with the supply method. Similar appearance does not make an aluminum-and-PC lamp interchangeable with every glass fluorescent tube.

Long-tube routes

Choose the end connection your fitting needs

Work with VST as an 8ft T8 LED tube OEM supplier to check the appropriate route. Specifications are available for the 2400mm model; agree the construction separately when requesting FA8 or R17d ends.

Order controls

Checks for specification and delivery

Inspection records and production choices need to describe the lamp version you order.

Staged quality checks

VST uses incoming, production, final and outgoing inspections. For long lamps, include straightness and cap assembly among the agreed appearance checks.

Photometric sampling

VST's integrating-sphere and photometric capabilities support model evaluation. Request measured output for the version you need; one series figure may not apply to every variant.

Construction options

VST can discuss changes to length, diffuser and end construction. Any structural change needs an engineering feasibility check before production begins.

Shipping identification

Product labels and carton marks can distinguish long-tube variants. Clear identification helps keep differently wired lamps out of the wrong installation batch.

Component decisions

How the lamp's main components affect the result

Evaluate T8 8ft LED bulbs by what each component contributes to the finished installation.

Light source

LED packages along the lamp

LED packages produce the light along the tube. Their color selection and operating conditions affect how consistent the installed lamps look. Check color on the working surface and shelf fronts, especially where new lamps sit beside older ones. A package name does not establish the finished lamp's output or lifetime. Request evidence for the complete construction when those values determine your replacement choice.

Optical cover

Diffuser appearance at low angles

The diffuser changes how the lit surface looks from the aisle. Clear and frosted covers can look different at the same nominal power. Assess the cover in the existing fitting, taking account of its reflector, mounting position and your line of sight. Look for visible light points and reflections. This trial helps you judge comfort, but a frosted cover alone does not establish a glare rating.

Connection

End-cap engagement

The end cap holds the lamp in position and connects it electrically. A long tube needs secure support, so check the contact form, engagement depth and retention. Compare the cap drawing with the fixture; a close-up photo may not show enough to establish fit. Inspect holders for wear and heat damage during the installation assessment. Replacing the lamp will not repair an unreliable holder connection.

Company and cooperation

Get to know VST before discussing your project

These videos introduce the company and its customer relationships.

An introduction to VST

Watch the company introduction before discussing your long-lamp requirement with VST. For the project itself, bring the fixture details and delivery constraints. Compatibility still needs to be checked for the particular tube and fitting you plan to use.

A customer's experience of working with VST

The customer video offers a view of the working relationship. Consider the communication your project will need when it involves several fixture types and long cartons. Product suitability remains a separate decision based on the technical details agreed for your order.

Application fit

Match the long lamp to the work below it

T8 8ft LED bulbs serve different tasks even when the fixtures share a common nominal length.

Warehouse picking aisles

Warehouse lighting needs to reach labels and pick faces as well as the floor. Check rack height, fixture orientation and the required illumination at the working plane. VST can use your layout and available photometric data to discuss light distribution and help choose a representative aisle for the trial.

Assembly-line work areas

A long fixture can light several positions along an assembly line. Check the level of task detail, viewing direction and any moving machinery that makes flicker assessment necessary. Our lighting team can discuss color quality and the measurements needed for the proposed tube, using the actual workstation as the basis for evaluation.

Covered parking interiors

In covered parking, low ceilings and vehicle routes make clearance and visual comfort important. Identify moisture exposure, the condition of the enclosure and any emergency circuits. VST can assess the appropriate protected lamp construction against those conditions; emergency operation and the complete safety system still need their own compatibility checks.

Retail shelf rows

Retail shelf lighting should make merchandise easy to see without harsh reflected points. Check shelf spacing, the retained reflector and how packaging should look under the light. VST can help select a cover and color option for a trial in your existing fittings, where you can judge the actual display.

Vehicle service bays

Service bays need overhead light around reflective body panels, while raised vehicles create shadows. Note fixture height, mechanical exposure and the task lights already in use. VST can discuss the long tube's optics and housing for this setting, with local inspection lighting retained where the ceiling lamp cannot cover the task.

Start with one fixture

Check the long-tube configuration for your project

Send the old lamp label, holder photos and approximate quantity. VST can assess standard fit or a special interface as an 8ft LED tube wholesale supplier, then prepare a quotation for the appropriate route.

VST's 8ft LED tube factory team can discuss the cover, end construction, color, labeling and packing. A special connection or length needs an engineering assessment. Record the agreed construction on the order so that different eight-foot lamps are not treated as interchangeable.
Long tubes need consistent light-source placement, straight housings, secure caps and protective packing. VST's quality-control stages support the agreed electrical, appearance and photometric checks. For project documentation, request the records that apply to the construction you have selected.
Have a qualified electrician isolate the supply, inspect the holders and identify the existing circuit. Follow the selected lamp's instructions for ballast retention or removal and the permitted power-input arrangement. Support the long tube during handling, fit all required fixture restraints and test one completed fitting before converting the remaining locations.

Working with VST

Planning your long-tube order

01

The minimum order is 120 pieces for the standard model. Specify the end-cap and wiring version on each quotation line; VST will confirm any different requirements for customization.
02

Sample charges may count as credit on a later bulk order if agreed with VST. Try a representative lamp in the fitting before committing to the full quantity. Samples are not necessarily free, and refunds are not automatic.
03

Typical production is 2โ€“3 weeks for regular products, approximately 3โ€“4 weeks for light customization and 4โ€“6 weeks for extensive changes. Quantity, material availability and scheduling affect the order date. Transit time is additional, particularly where long cartons need special handling.
04

Bulk orders normally use bank transfer, with a 30% deposit and 70% paid before shipment. Samples are paid fully in advance through PayPal, Western Union or bank transfer. These arrangements should be included with the commercial quotation for your selected configuration.
05

Send a short description and photos or video identifying the affected VST product. Replacement support can be discussed for a separate dispatch or your next shipment. Regular-product warranty options are generally three or five years; the selected model's written terms determine coverage.

Product questions

Questions before you change a long-lamp installation

When choosing T8 8ft LED bulbs, you may also need to decide how much of the original installation to keep. The questions below cover conversion scope, emergency circuits, closed fittings and the savings calculation once the basic interface is known.

Sometimes, but the original tube family is not enough to approve the change. Check whether the replacement is documented for that fixture and input arrangement. A larger original fluorescent diameter may also have affected the reflector design. Evaluate the completed fitting's light distribution as well as its mechanical and electrical fit.

Compare the complete installation cost and service access, rather than lamp price alone.
Route Main implication
Retain a long lamp Preserves the existing span if compatible
Use a designed conversion kit Changes holders, wiring and lamp layout
A conversion requires a documented kit or engineered fixture modification, not loose adapters assembled on site.

Only a specifically compatible combination should be used. A normal mains-operated LED tube does not inherit the original fixture's emergency function. Identify the emergency equipment and required operation early; otherwise a replacement that works on mains power may fail the separate emergency-lighting requirement.

The selected lamp and complete fixture must be suitable for enclosed use and the actual ambient conditions. Heat accumulation depends on the enclosure, mounting and operation. A room-temperature rating alone does not establish the temperature around the internal driver once the cover is closed.

Use the present system power, including ballast losses where applicable, and the proposed complete system power. Multiply the difference by operating hours and the relevant electricity tariff. Keep fixture groups separate when their original circuits or operating schedules differ; a generic percentage would hide those differences.
