Five-channel lighting

RGB CCT LED strip systems with color and tunable white

Use an RGB CCT LED strip when the same lighting detail needs both decorative color and adjustable white.
  • Dedicated red, green, blue, warm-white and cool-white channels
  • Published 24V COB and SMD construction choices
  • Specify scene behavior and controller load together
  • Ask for a sample with the proposed connection arrangement

Two lighting roles

Specify the RGB CCT LED strip and its controls together

Color scenes and adjustable white can use the same physical strip. Decide which states the installation needs to reproduce, then choose the controller and supply that support them.
Tell VST, an RGB CCT LED strip manufacturer, whether color and white will operate separately or together. We can help specify the zone controls and connected load. You might need neutral white during the day and a colored accent later. Include those states in the sample brief so you can test the system against the scenes you need.
✓

Dedicated white behavior

Warm and cool white channels create the adjustable-white function. Do not rely on RGB mixing when the project specifically needs a white-light source.

✓

Power by operating mode

List the channel combinations the installation must support. Controllers can limit combined output, so test the brightest intended scene without assuming all channels can run fully together.

✓

Zones and defaults

Specify which runs share settings and what should happen after a power interruption. These behaviors come from the complete control system.

System engineering

Use your lighting scenes to define the sample

For sample testing, VST provides source-selection, channel and lead advice as an RGB CCT LED strip supplier, including the installation details.
✓

Construction choice

Compare board width, cut units and source appearance for COB and SMD before finalizing the furniture or cove. The two constructions need different mechanical clearances.

✓

Channel documentation

Record the connections at both the strip and controller. Check the channel assignment directly, even when conductor colors look familiar or a connector shell fits.

✓

White-light evaluation

Use the intended surface and ambient light to assess the sample's white settings. Request model-specific data where color appearance is a critical design requirement.

✓

Preparation for integration

Custom leads and identification can support repeated assembly of lighting zones. Keep the strip configuration linked to its specified control arrangement throughout the order.

Function and control

What an RGB CCT LED strip provides

An analog RGB CCT LED strip combines RGB color with separate warm-white and cool-white channels. It allows colored scenes and adjustable white-light temperature within one supported strip construction.
A conventional common-positive arrangement uses one supply connection plus five controlled returns, requiring a matching five-channel controller. Verify the actual pinout and electrical topology for the selected model. This capability differs from RGBW with one white channel and from CCT-only tape without RGB. It also differs from pixel control: an analog connected run shares its commanded state. The controller's allowed color/white combinations, current limits and user interface determine which scenes the complete installation can reproduce.

Verified configurations

Two RGB CCT LED strip construction choices

As an RGB CCT LED strip OEM supplier, VST supports both published constructions. Choose the board and cut pattern for the installation, then test the complete system.

Control details

Identify the five control channels

Label the interfaces clearly before commissioning the system.

Channel mapping

Document the shared connection and controlled color paths. Validate the actual pin labels before connecting a harness to the selected strip.

Scene control

Record how the interface selects color, white temperature and dimming. The available operating modes depend on the controller rather than the strip alone.

White-light choice

Dedicated warm and cool emitters support adjustable white. Evaluate the desired settings against the room materials instead of assuming they match another light source.

Zone identification

Custom labels can link each prepared strip length to its intended zone, simplifying installation when several runs use the same physical connection format.

COB construction

Three visible parts of the COB option

The COB reference shows the emitting surface, circuit board and multichannel lead.

Primary light source

COB emitting surface

The COB option uses a phosphor-covered light-source structure along the tape. Its visual appearance differs from discrete SMD packages, but the emitting surface alone does not establish the white-temperature endpoints or performance in every mode. Evaluate the RGB CCT LED strip through the intended cover using the scenes your installation will actually use, including low-level white light.

Circuit carrier

Multichannel board

Several electrical paths run along the flexible board between its cut sections. Check the board width, pad positions and cut interval against the recess and termination. Leave the end connection accessible, with enough room for its greater width or depth. Support the board flat along the mounting surface and avoid forcing it sideways around a tight corner where the circuit could be strained.

Electrical interface

Six-conductor lead

The referenced COB construction shows a six-conductor lead for the common connection and five controlled channels. Match each conductor to the actual strip pad and controller output; cable colors should not be treated as a universal convention. The lead's current capacity and length must suit the configured load, with strain relief and a protected route into the accessible control space.

Supply relationship

LED strip supply and working with VST

Introductions before discussing the control behavior you need.

VST's LED strip category

The LED strip video introduces the product category. When discussing a sample, describe the white and color states the installation must provide. That lets the team address controller behavior along with the strip construction and the connection you need prepared.

Customer service perspective

This customer introduction covers the working relationship. Agree who will record scene settings and approve wiring changes on your five-channel project, so the sample, quotation and installation information stay consistent as the system details are finalized.

Lighting applications

Where color and adjustable white share a detail

Choose RGB CCT LED strip lighting when both color and adjustable white have a job to do.

Hotel meeting lounges

A hotel lounge can use white light for meetings and a colored accent for evening events. Establish independent zones, the required white settings and how staff will select scenes. VST can discuss strip construction and prepared connections for a sample system, while the chosen controller determines the available presets and the behavior after power returns.

Retail feature displays

A retail feature display may need a white merchandise setting and a separate colored promotion scene. Assess product-color accuracy, viewing reflections and whether surrounding displays share the same control zone. We can provide an RGBCCT sample and connection options so you can compare both operating modes with the actual merchandise before repeating the lighting detail.

Restaurant bar joinery

Bar joinery can combine colored accents with adjustable white for everyday presentation. Define the locations needing splash protection, the service access and the permitted combinations of white and color output. VST can help select the source and discuss protected lead preparation, with the power and controller sized around the agreed operating scenes.

Fitted media furniture

Media furniture can use white lighting for the surrounding shelving and color during entertainment. Check how the zones relate to the screen, the required manual controls and the space available for the electronics. Our team can discuss prepared RGBCCT lengths and a sample harness; automatic screen synchronization requires separately supported capture and control equipment.

Decorative display niches

A niche displaying changing objects benefits from adjustable white and optional color without installing two separate strips. Consider cover depth, reflective finishes and the ease of reaching the termination. VST can help compare the source constructions and prepare a sample for that recess, allowing the white and color settings to be judged on the displayed objects.

Specify the scenes

Tell us how the light should behave

VST supplies the selected source construction and prepared connections as an RGB CCT LED strip wholesale supplier. Describe the scenes and zone layout you need to evaluate.

Model specifications

Published RGB CCT LED strip data

The two model records below describe the source construction; control hardware is selected separately.
Model Voltage; W/m; LEDs/m; PCB mm; cut mm; light function
C840RGBCCT2112 24V; 21; 840; 12; 35.71; RGBCCT
S5050L60RGBW2010 24V; 20; 60; 10; 50; RGBCCT
C840RGBCCT2112 source COB; CRI 92; listed 840 lm/m
S5050L60RGBW2010 source SMD 5050; CRI 80; RGBCCT
Protection IP20; IP65/IP67 options listed
Reel length 5m for both models
Model warranty 3 years for both models
Discuss prepared lengths, leads, terminations and zone identification with VST, your RGB CCT LED strip supplier. Specify the control interface early. For a particular app, gateway or wall panel, check compatibility using the exact hardware and software combination.
Production follows the selected COB or SMD construction and its channel layout. Electrical inspection should distinguish the controlled paths and check the specified assembly. Keep the harness assignment and model identification attached to the production record, rather than relying on reel appearance.
Disconnect power before connecting. Verify voltage, channel labels, common connection and controller ratings. Test each channel individually, then the intended combined scenes and low-level dimming. Check the assembled run under its highest permitted load before closing the profile, leaving the control and supply accessible.

Cooperation feedback

Comments on getting the system details clear

Useful support makes a complex control brief easier to manage.
The wiring description was clear enough for our controls team to work from. That removed a lot of back-and-forth.

Project supply

Commercial points for the selected system

Keep strip supply and any additional control equipment clear in the quotation.
01

Yes. Define which items are required so the quotation identifies the tape, prepared leads and any separately agreed power or control equipment. Do not assume that a published strip model includes an entire commissioned control system.
02

The general strip starting point is 500 meters, while the selected model's stock and preparation can produce different quoted terms. Keep COB and SMD variants identified separately, since matching color functions do not make them one physical product.
03

Samples are available with preparation agreed in advance. A subsequent bulk order can receive credit for sample charges where this has been agreed. Identify the controller and operating modes so the evaluation answers the project questions.
04

Regular products typically take 2-3 weeks to produce. Light customization commonly needs approximately 3-4 weeks, and extensive customization about 4-6 weeks. Final scheduling depends on the requested scope and materials, with shipment time outside those production estimates.
05

Private labels and custom packaging can identify the prepared strip lengths and their intended zones. Extensive custom development may involve tooling costs. Agree those charges and the exact identification system before production begins.
06

The two listed RGBCCT models carry published three-year terms. For a quality issue, provide a brief description and photographs or video. VST can discuss replacement separately or with a later shipment; unrelated installation damage is not automatically included.

System decisions

Questions before connecting an RGB CCT LED strip

The controller and strip together determine how the installation behaves. Set the required user controls and operating states before ordering, then use these questions to check whether the proposed combination supports the scenes you want.

Match the controller's output function before considering its wireless features.
Controller output Suitability
RGB only Missing both white channels
RGBW Missing a separate second white channel
Five-channel analog RGBCCT Check topology, voltage and load
Digital pixel data Requires a matching digital strip

Only if the selected strip, controller and power system support that mode within their ratings. Some controls separate color and white modes or impose a combined output limit. Specify your intended scene and validate the load instead of adding channel ratings as an automatic operating permission.

Not necessarily. Electrical feed sections and user control zones are different decisions. Multiple powered sections may share one intended scene when the control design supports it. Plan voltage drop, conductors and control distribution together, without directly paralleling unrelated power-supply outputs.

Matching settings do not guarantee identical appearance across different models or batches. Use the same selected construction and white-light specification where visual consistency matters, then assess the zones together on the installed materials. Controller calibration and dimming behavior can also affect the result.

An ordinary analog run changes together, so it cannot produce independently moving segments within that run. Chasing effects need an addressable construction and compatible data control. Choose that different system explicitly rather than expecting a scene preset to add pixel-level hardware.

The controller determines the restart state, memory behavior and any network dependency. Test the proposed system after power removal and restoration, including the intended default scene. The strip itself does not guarantee stored settings, offline operation or automatic reconnection.

Do not assume identical endpoints. Their published records identify RGBCCT function but do not provide a verified endpoint range for each model. State the white temperatures your project needs and obtain model-specific data and a sample before committing to that requirement.
