Product selection

Start with the part of the room that needs attention

A bright ceiling does not tell you how well a desk, screen or meeting table is lit. Describe the problem at its normal viewing position.
As an office lighting supplier, VST can help turn room observations into a product shortlist. You might retain a sound tube fixture, use recessed downlights in a suspended ceiling or choose a surface body where no cavity is available. LED office lighting also includes components for continuous lines. Select each route for the room’s task and ceiling condition.
✓

Existing ceiling conditions

Record openings, structural fixing points and accessible service space. This separates a straightforward replacement from work that changes the ceiling or electrical installation.

✓

The normal line of sight

Mark desk positions and screen directions. Glare and reflections depend on the position of the light, the surfaces around it and where you sit.

✓

Different operating periods

Meeting rooms, shared desks and circulation areas may need different switching or dimming zones. Establish how each area will be used before choosing control hardware.

Working with VST

A fixture schedule you can discuss and sample

VST’s role as an office lighting manufacturer includes helping you choose among its product families and prepare the selected configurations for supply.
✓

Layouts built from room information

VST can use DIALux-based lighting design to examine a proposed layout. Room dimensions, mounting height and surface information make the output more useful than a fixture count alone.

✓

A manageable sample shortlist

Sampling can concentrate on the rooms with unresolved fit or appearance questions. This lets you compare the selected lamp, optic or cover before repeating it across the building.

✓

Measured product information

Integrating-sphere and photometric capabilities support product evaluation. Ask for the data applicable to the chosen configuration rather than assigning one family’s figures to every fixture in the schedule.

✓

Packing by installation area

Labels and packing can follow agreed product codes or project zones. Separating similar-looking configurations helps the receiving team send the correct items to each installation area.

Product construction

What the system includes

Office lighting is a room-level selection
The ceiling fixture is one part of the result. Task surfaces, daylight, viewing direction and controls determine how that fixture performs in the space.

Cut-out fit

Recessed models have individual opening and depth dimensions. Matching both helps prevent a selected trim from concealing an incompatible housing.

Control options

Selected fixtures offer different dimming protocols. Record the actual driver version so the lighting circuit and control equipment can be specified together.

Color specification

CCT and CRI answer different questions. The chosen configuration can document both light appearance and color-rendering requirements for the room.

Export coordination

VST can coordinate export packing and freight quotations. Product quantities and destinations allow you to compare a defined shipment rather than an incomplete unit price.

Component details

Component detail

The LED light source

The light source sets the available spectrum and nominal output within a fixture. In the pictured recessed construction, a COB source sits at the rear of the optical cavity. Specify the CCT and CRI required for the selected model, then judge the sample with the room’s actual materials. A room with mixed fixture types also needs an agreed color specification across those types.

Component detail

The reflector

A reflector changes where light from the source travels and how visible the bright source is from different angles. Its depth and opening matter when the fixture is close to a normal line of sight. Use the selected optic’s photometric data for the proposed positions. A visually deep reflector does not by itself establish a compliant glare result for every office layout.

Component detail

The retention spring

A recessed fixture’s spring holds the body against a suitable ceiling opening. The spring needs room to open above the board and must suit the board condition and thickness. This matters in refurbishment work where an old opening may be enlarged or weakened. Compare the actual fixing detail and ceiling construction before committing to a trim diameter that looks suitable from below.

Video introduction

Company and customer introductions

Background for the next project conversation.

An introduction to VST

Use the company introduction to get familiar with VST before discussing your room schedule. The product shortlist, requested data and sample scope remain specific to your office lighting project; a general company video cannot establish the performance of a proposed layout.

A customer perspective on cooperation

The customer introduction provides another perspective on working with VST. For your own project, decide who will handle product selection, sample feedback and delivery coordination so the next conversation can address the responsibilities that matter to the installation.

Applications

Office lighting by room use

Each area needs its own task and operating conditions.
Open-plan office with desks, plants, and large windows letting in daylight.

Screen-based open-plan areas

Shared desk areas need useful light on work surfaces without distracting reflections on screens. Identify seating directions, window positions and proposed fixture spacing before selecting the optical configuration. VST can discuss suitable fixtures and use the available room information to develop a lighting layout for the occupied area.

Video meeting rooms

Meeting rooms combine face-to-face discussion, screen sharing and video calls within one space. Check camera positions, table reflections and how presentation mode will change the lighting. VST can compare the relevant dimming and light-color configurations and prepare samples for testing the room’s planned operating scenes.
Modern reception area with a marble counter, warm wood paneling, seating near a large window, and potted plants.

Reception and waiting areas

Reception lighting needs to make the desk, faces and surrounding finishes easy to see on arrival. Confirm the ceiling type, desk position and the effect wanted on nearby walls. VST can propose a mix of downlight and linear options for a coordinated entrance lighting schedule.

Office circulation routes

Corridors and connecting areas require clear movement through the building while adjoining rooms may operate on different schedules. Establish mounting positions, transitions in brightness and control-zone boundaries. VST can help select appropriate fixtures and separate their supply configurations from those used in occupied desk areas.

Breakout and refreshment spaces

Staff kitchens and informal seating areas combine close task lighting with a more relaxed surrounding environment. Confirm under-cabinet clearance, light-color preference and which circuits should dim independently. VST can discuss prepared strip assemblies for counters alongside suitable general fixtures, keeping the two lighting tasks distinct.

Your next step

Tell us which spaces need better light

Share the room uses, dimensions and ceiling photographs. As your office lighting supplier, VST can suggest a product mix and identify where a layout calculation or sample would help. You do not need a finished specification to begin.

Customization can cover fixture finish, CCT and CRI, driver version, prepared linear lengths and project labeling. State which choices are essential across the building and which can differ by room. VST can separate standard options from changes requiring engineering, a revised sample or tooling before pricing the schedule.
At VST’s office lighting factory, each product family follows its applicable assembly and inspection processes. Incoming materials, in-process checks and final inspection support the agreed configuration. Keep driver, optic and light-color choices tied to product codes through packing, and request configuration-specific test information where the project requires it.
A qualified installer should check the supply, mounting structure and retained circuits. Recessed fittings need the specified cavity, surface fittings need appropriate anchors and tube replacements follow their own wiring instructions. Keep connections accessible. After installation, commission each control zone and assess the occupied workstations as well as the ceiling.

Ordering and cooperation

Planning a mixed-product order

Commercial questions for the office schedule.
01

Yes. Send a room or product schedule with estimated quantities. VST can separate the fixture families and linear components in the quotation so you can see what is included without treating the entire project as one interchangeable product.
02

Minimum quantities depend on the selected products. Lower-value fixtures generally start around 100 pieces, while higher-value models may have a lower starting quantity. Profiles and strips have meter-based quantities. A mixed office schedule needs those conditions stated by item.
03

Samples are available. Select the unresolved room or product first so the sample answers a specific question. Charges may be credited against a later bulk order by agreement; sample supply is not an automatic free-trial or refund arrangement.
04

Typical production is 2-3 weeks for regular products, about 3-4 weeks for light customization and 4-6 weeks for extensive changes. A mixed schedule can involve different preparation needs. Shipping time is separate, and the agreed order schedule governs the delivery plan.
05

VST supports custom labels and packaging. Supply the product-to-room code list and required label content before packing is finalized. Private-label or extensive structural work may involve setup or tooling costs, which should be identified in the quotation.
06

Sample orders are paid in full in advance by PayPal, Western Union or bank transfer. Bulk supply normally uses bank transfer with a 30% deposit and 70% before shipment. Keep these payment stages separate from the site’s installation or handover schedule.

Product questions

Remaining office lighting questions

These office lighting questions address choices that remain after the initial product shortlist. They help you judge the layout, controls and replacement scope before deciding what information or samples to request for the next stage.

Situation What still needs assessment
A published glare table Its room and layout assumptions
Mixed fixture types The actual product positions and viewing directions
Desks moved later The changed screen and observer positions

You can choose a common specification, but it is not mandatory. Adjacent spaces need a deliberate transition, and surfaces can change how the same nominal CCT appears. Compare samples where rooms meet, especially when office lighting fixtures from different product families will be visible together.

Often, but the electrical and installation plan must define the work boundaries. Separate circuits, retained fixture condition and access during occupied hours affect the sequence. VST can identify the replacement products by phase; site isolation and temporary lighting remain matters for the qualified installation team.

Only if the selected driver and dimmer are compatible. Record the dimmer or control-system model, its interface and circuit loading. Matching a label such as DALI or 0-10V is a starting point, not proof that every function, operating range or commissioning requirement will match.

Use the actual fixture quantities, input powers and operating hours for the existing and proposed schedules. Control changes need their own realistic assumptions. A lower-wattage sample alone does not establish a building-wide saving, and the new office lighting must still provide the required lighting result.
