LED profile selection
LED U channel profiles for recessed furniture and display lines
- Six published RU sections cover mini grooves through wide recessed assemblies.
- Each section has its own strip-width limit.
- Finish, cover and cut length can be set from your drawing.
- A sample shows whether the lip sits cleanly.
Where to start
Choose the LED U channel section from the mounting detail
Section fit
RU0812 is narrow, whereas RU11252 needs a much larger recess. Size the cutout from the exact drawing.
Strip interface
A 5 mm strip fits a different channel from a 12 mm strip. Include solder joints and wiring when checking the recess.
Visible face
The milky cover becomes part of the visible furniture line; inspect it in the intended groove.

Supply support
How VST supports your LED U channel selection
Drawing-led fit
Send the groove width, depth and strip PCB width. VST can use these dimensions to identify a recessed section with room for the cover. A few millimeters can decide whether it sits flush.
Visible finish options
Published U-series specifications list anodized, powder-coated and painted surface routes, with silver, black and white options. Select the finish alongside the diffuser, not after the profile drawing is fixed.
Sample comparison
A short section installed in your furniture material shows how much lip remains visible and whether the diffuser stays seated. VST can prepare the sample around the intended strip width.
Repeatable specification
Keep the approved section, finish, length and accessories together on the order. That makes it easier to repeat the same profile instead of substituting a similar-looking channel.

Section range
Six published recessed sections cover narrow grooves through wide assemblies; compare outside dimensions with usable strip space.
Strip clearance
Each listed model has a stated maximum strip width, so your PCB selection can be checked before cutting the groove.
Diffuser choice
Published PC or PMMA diffuser options let you evaluate the visible line and cover fit with the actual strip.
Drawing check
The section drawing shows where the lip, cable exit and fixings could interfere with the host material. Check those points on a sample before routing more panels.
