Product selection

Match the enclosure to the environment

Dust, moisture, cleaning and accidental impact are different exposures. Describe what the fitting will actually encounter before selecting its enclosure configuration.
VST’s integrated linear fixtures combine an LED source and driver with a grey PC housing and PC diffuser. Compare the length and output of a compact service-room fitting with a longer aisle unit. As your LED tri proof light supplier, VST can recommend a published model based on the cable entry, mounting method and electrical supply. Chemical exposure and hazardous atmospheres need separate assessment. A housing suited to ordinary damp or dusty locations may not suit those conditions.
✓

Site exposure

Describe condensation, dust and cleaning conditions. Check that the enclosure and cable entries suit those conditions at the installation site.

✓

Useful coverage

Compare the required light on the task surface and the available mounting positions. A longer fitting changes coverage as well as the space needed to install it.

✓

Access and connections

Leave access to the diffuser, cable entry and fixings. The selected supply range and any sensor option need to match the site wiring.

Understand the construction

Ingress and impact protection

The enclosure rating must be read with the material, connections and installation.
An LED tri proof light provides protected linear lighting in damp or dusty service spaces. VST’s published integrated battens list IP65/IP66 configurations and IK08 impact resistance, with model-specific electrical and material details. IP covers ingress under defined conditions; IK covers impact. These ratings do not establish suitability for chemicals, immersion, explosive atmospheres or every cleaning process. Cable glands, covers, seals and mounting also affect the completed installation. Specify the actual exposure and any unusual conditions when requesting a quotation.

Inside the construction

Source, cover and cable entry

The source and cover affect the light; the cover and cable entry also form part of the enclosure.

Component detail

SMD 2835 light source

The batten range uses SMD 2835 LEDs. Their arrangement, drive conditions and optical cover affect output and color, so compare lighting data for the complete model. View an LED tri proof light sample at the actual mounting position to check the chosen CCT and cover.

Component detail

PC diffuser

The PC cover encloses the optical opening and changes how the emitting source appears. The published opal and transparent options address different visual preferences, but the selected cover must also close correctly against the housing. Keep its edges clean and undamaged during assembly. The complete enclosure configuration, including its interfaces, is what needs to suit the specified environmental exposure.

Parking garages

A parking garage needs useful circulation light around vehicles and structural beams. Check mounting clearance, likely impact, moisture and the proposed switching or sensor behavior. VST can compare the batten sizes and relevant control configuration, with a sample area to assess visibility before replacing a larger section of the garage.

Warehouse aisles

Warehouse aisles need light where labels, stock and walking routes are viewed, not only beneath the fitting. Establish rack height, aisle width and available fixing positions. VST can discuss a layout using the published LED tri proof light models and provide a sample for the selected mounting arrangement.

Utility plant rooms

A utility room may have limited mounting space between pipes, cabinets and service routes. Check access to the light, ambient conditions and the local supply before choosing the fitting length. VST can propose a compact or standard batten configuration and clarify the diffuser and cable-entry details for the location.

Covered service passages

A covered loading or service passage can still encounter wind-driven moisture and changing temperatures. Describe that exposure, the mounting substrate and the required illumination along the route. VST can discuss the applicable enclosure configuration and model information, while any unusual weather or cleaning requirement is assessed explicitly before selection.

Maintenance workshops

A maintenance bench needs clear task light without obstructing tools or service access. Check mounting height, shadowing from equipment, dust exposure and the condition of the electrical supply. VST can compare the output and cover options and arrange a representative sample installation before you repeat it across several workstations.

Emergency, dimming or special-environment functions must be specified separately; do not assume a standard model includes them.
VST’s LED tri proof light factory assembles the specified LED source, driver, housing and cover. Electrical operation, aging, appearance and closure checks can be specified for the order. Packing must protect the covers, clips and cable-entry parts.
Isolate the circuit and verify the ordered voltage range. Secure the fitting to a suitable substrate, route and terminate the cable using the specified entry, then close the cover and seals correctly. A qualified installer should complete the electrical checks and any sensor setup before energizing.

Ordering and cooperation

Batten sampling and order terms

Order terms follow the selected fixture and its operating conditions.
01

Yes. VST can arrange samples of the selected configuration. Define the supply and enclosure requirements before dispatch so the trial answers the right questions. Sample charges may be credited against a later bulk order only by prior agreement.
02

A standard lower-value fixture can use 100 pieces as a general starting point. The final minimum depends on the model and any driver, sensor, label or packaging changes. Use the quantity stated in the quotation for your exact order.
03

VST supports custom packaging and labels. Discuss how models and configurations should be identified for receiving and site allocation. Carton details, quantities and any special handling requirements should be agreed with the selected batten before packing begins.
04

Regular production generally takes 2 to 3 weeks, with about 3 to 4 weeks for light customization or 4 to 6 weeks for extensive changes. These are typical production periods, affected by materials and approvals. Delivery planning must also allow for transport.
05

The three current batten models list a five-year warranty. Confirm the coverage and operating conditions in the quotation for the selected fixture. Special environments or modifications need separate agreed terms. Catalogue coverage does not automatically extend to these orders.
06

Provide the model, order reference, symptoms and clear photographs or video. Include relevant installation conditions so VST can assess the product issue. Replacement support can be discussed for separate shipment or inclusion with a later order.

Product questions

Environmental and connection questions

Describe cleaning agents and other unusual site conditions before selecting a standard batten. Through-wiring and control requirements also need to be checked for the model you plan to order.

Send an overall view, the mounting area, existing label and cable entry, plus voltage and exposure if known. These details help shortlist an LED tri proof light. The old fitting’s appearance alone cannot establish the replacement specification.

Existing part Check before reuse
Brackets Fixing position and secure retention
Cable entry Cable fit and gland sealing
Supply circuit Ordered input range and electrical condition
Control wiring Support for the selected sensor configuration

No hazardous-area approval is established by the supplied product data. IP65/IP66 and IK08 do not replace that requirement. Treat an explosive atmosphere as a separate equipment-selection task and request the specific applicable approval before considering any fixture for that location.

That cannot be concluded from the ingress rating. Chemical type, concentration, temperature and contact time matter for the PC enclosure and its seals. Describe the cleaning process when you inquire. Avoid approving an LED tri proof light for an unusual chemical exposure based only on its outer appearance.

The specifications do not state that every model supports through-wiring. Ask about the terminal layout, cable entries and permitted connections for your model. Two ends or a spare cable entry do not prove that a fitting supports the intended loop-through circuit.

No. Specify sensor behavior and dimming together for the ordered driver and accessory. Describe the switching zones, timing and required operation so VST can check which configuration supports them.

Restore the correct cover, seals, clips and cable-entry condition before returning it to use. Damage, dirt or an incorrect closure can affect the completed enclosure. Follow the model’s service instructions and isolate the electrical supply before handling internal parts.
