Channels for integrated lighting

LED Aluminium Profile Options for Integrated Lighting

Match the mounting geometry before choosing the visible light line. An LED aluminium profile supports the strip and cover, with different constructions for furniture, recessed ceilings and suspended lighting.
  • Published cross-sections and strip-clearance data
  • Surface, corner, recessed and suspended families
  • Diffuser and finish choices by model
  • Sample sections for checks with the actual strip assembly

Product selection

Start with the mounting surface

The outside shape determines how the channel meets the furniture or building. Internal space determines whether the strip, connection and cover can fit together.
As your LED aluminium profile supplier, VST can match an extrusion to the host structure and strip. The profile is passive; the strip and driver determine voltage, output and control. Compare mounting lips, usable clearance and cover engagement in a section drawing. A sample checks the actual connector, cable exit and removable cover where the assembly is tight.
✓

Mounting geometry

Choose the installation method first. A surface channel, recessed lip and plaster-in flange meet the host in different ways.

✓

Usable internal space

Include solder joints, connector height and the strip itself. Outer width does not describe the usable internal mounting space.

✓

The visible cover

Choose the cover with the profile and strip. Clear, frosted and opal finishes change the visible result.

✓

Access after completion

Plan how to replace the diffuser, strip and driver after furniture or plaster finishes restrict access.

Working with VST

Check the assembly before ordering lengths

VST is an LED aluminium profile manufacturer that can use your section drawing to check how the parts fit together.
✓

Section drawings

VST can compare the section drawing with the mounting surface and strip, checking usable clearance separately from the profileโ€™s outside dimensions.

✓

A matched component set

Discuss profile, diffuser, end caps and fixings as one model-specific set so the components arriving for assembly fit together.

✓

Finish coordination

Silver, black and white options use different finishing routes. Agree the treatment and sample appearance before releasing a larger production order.

✓

Sample sections

A short sample reveals cover engagement and connection clearance that a perspective image can hide. Test it with the actual strip.

✓

Long-product packing

Protective packing and shipment coordination can be discussed around the cut schedule. Pack length must suit transport, handling and storage.

Understand the construction

A channel, cover and mounting interface

An LED aluminium profile is a mechanical part of the lighting system.
An LED aluminium profile supports the strip, cover and accessories. Its cross-section determines how it fits the furniture or building and where the light emerges. The strip and driver determine electrical and lighting performance. Check the mounting geometry, connection space and end treatment with a sample assembly. Waterproofing, structural capacity and walk-over suitability require evidence for that assembly and installation.

Product configurations

Six different ways to integrate a light line

VST, your LED aluminum profile supplier, offers these mounting geometries. Choose the construction first, then compare dimensions.

Configuration details

Section dimensions and component fit

The cut section, finish and cover all affect the finished installation.

Length planning

Plan joints, end caps and transport from the cut schedule. Finished assembly length can differ from the ordered extrusion length.

Cover engagement

Retaining geometry determines fit. Equal nominal widths do not establish that a separately sourced cover will engage with the channel.

Inside the construction

The parts of the channel assembly

Match the extrusion and cover; use a plaster-in flange where the installation requires it.

Component detail

Aluminium extrusion

The extrusion supports the strip and defines the cross-section and mounting interface. Compare its retaining lips and mounting geometry with the opening and actual assembly. An LED aluminium profile has no universal watts-per-meter capacity: thermal performance depends on the strip and installation conditions.

Component detail

Diffuser cover

The cover affects light transmission and the visibility of individual sources. Available finishes include clear, frosted, milky and opal, with materials selected by model. Match its retaining edges to the channel. Check the sample with the actual strip at the intended viewing distance, since opal covers can produce different results.

Component detail

Plaster-in flange

A plaster-in flange connects the channel to the surrounding finish while retaining access to the light opening. Its perforations and geometry belong to the selected plaster-in model. Position the section before finishing the surface and protect the slot during the work. Ordinary surface channels use a different mounting arrangement.

Applications

Match the section to the installation

Each construction needs its own fixing and service approach.
Modern office desk with a suspended rectangular light fixture, open laptop, notebook, and potted plants by a large window.

Suspended office lines

Suspended office lighting needs a profile that accommodates the light direction and a workable suspension arrangement. Check ceiling supports, strip width, driver placement and service access. VST can compare single- or double-sided sections and provide a sample assembly for the intended light source and cover.
Under-cabinet LED light over a kitchen counter with a potted herb, olive oil bottle, salt jar, and cutting board with tomatoes.

Furniture channels

A cabinet or shelf can integrate a compact channel with a protected light opening. Measure the available cavity and the space for end caps, leads and diffuser removal. VST can suggest a surface or recessed LED aluminium profile and supply a sample to check against the furniture construction.

Plaster-in reveals

A continuous ceiling reveal needs the channel to meet cleanly at the light opening. Establish substrate thickness, mounting position and the method for protecting the diffuser slot during plastering. VST can provide a plaster-in section drawing and sample for coordination with the ceiling teamโ€™s installation method.

Corner displays

A corner section can direct light toward merchandise from a shelf corner. Check the angle, visible glare, strip clearance and how the cover will be removed later. VST can compare the relevant corner profiles and supply a sample set for the actual shelf depth and finish.

Stair guidance

A stair section can position a protected light line along the step edge or riser. Review the tread detail, fixing method, cable route and required mechanical suitability for the site. VST can identify a stair-profile candidate and its drawing; load and installation requirements need project-specific confirmation.

Ordering and cooperation

Profile orders and customization

Section, finish and cut requirements define the commercial scope.
01

The general minimum starts at 300 meters. Section, finish, cutting and tooling affect the actual order quantity, which VST will state for the selected profile and accessories.
02

Yes. Test a sample with the actual strip and connector. Specify its cover and accessories, and agree any sample charge and later order credit before preparation.
03

Drawing-based customization is supported. A new extrusion section can require engineering, sampling and tooling charges. Establish the geometry and assembly requirements first; a finish change has a different scope from new tooling.
04

Allow approximately 3 to 4 production weeks for light customization, or 4 to 6 for extensive changes. Regular profiles typically take 2 to 3 weeks. Scope and materials affect timing; approvals and transport are additional.
05

Yes. Provide the identifiers, carton marks and handling requirements. Packaging should protect the finish and diffuser while keeping different sections distinguishable during receiving and assembly.
06

Bulk profile orders use bank transfer: 30% deposit, then 70% before shipment. Samples are prepaid in full using bank transfer, PayPal or Western Union.

Product questions

Section fit and installation limits

Small differences in a section can affect assembly fit. Check the cover, thermal conditions and installation limits before approving the profile and strip combination.

Length to state What it covers
Extrusion Cut metal section
Diffuser Cover with its required end allowance
Complete assembly Profile, end caps and connection clearance

Matching width is not enough. Retaining lips, edge thickness, curvature and insertion method must also match. Test the chosen cover on the actual section.

Strip power, contact, ambient conditions and enclosure determine temperature. Assess the complete assembly before assigning a watts-per-meter rating to an LED aluminium profile.

Use a documented bendable construction with a specified direction and radius. Bending an ordinary straight extrusion can distort the channel or prevent its cover fitting.

No. Obtain evidence for the actual load, cover, fixing and substrate. A family name or step rendering cannot establish suitability for foot traffic.
