Industrial project lighting

Industrial high bay LED lights matched to your working zones

Plan industrial high bay LED lights around the tasks, structure and electrical supply in your building.
  • Six published platforms span 100W to 500W for different lighting duties.
  • VST can prepare a DIALux layout using your working planes and obstructions.
  • Specify controls and mounting details before arranging a representative sample.

Start with the building

Choose lighting for each part of the facility

Production floors, rack faces and covered transfer areas need light in different places. Start with the activity and layout in each zone, then compare suitable fixtures.
Industrial high bay LED lights are complete fixtures installed above working areas. VST’s round UFO platforms differ in output, body size and input range. As an industrial high bay lighting manufacturer, VST can shortlist models for the tasks and geometry in each zone. Assess the distribution on the relevant working surfaces before choosing one power level for the whole site.
✓

Record the working plane

Floor lux alone may miss a vertical inspection face or a raised assembly bench. Mark the surfaces on which visibility matters.

✓

Locate physical obstructions

Cranes, ducts and tall equipment can interrupt light paths. Include their positions when assessing a proposed fixture grid and access route.

✓

Separate operating zones

An infrequently occupied transfer bay can need different controls from a continuously staffed line. Group fixtures around actual operating patterns.

Selection principle

Plan the distribution of industrial high bay LED lights

Industrial high bay lighting fixtures combine a light source, driver, optics and housing. Their distribution determines which working surfaces receive the light.
Compare maintained task-plane illumination, uniformity and occupied sightlines. Narrow distribution may suit a tall, confined zone; a wider pattern serves a different geometry. Neither guarantees coverage without calculation. Power describes electrical input and lumens describe total output, not floor lux. For industrial high bay LED lights, request a photometric file matching the selected lens and operating setting.

Specification support

Support for layout, production and delivery

VST's industrial high bay lighting factory supports layout planning, order preparation and shipment.

Layout development

Send the building geometry and task requirements. A lighting simulation lets you assess fixture positions and distribution before settling the layout.

Production checks

VST checks incoming materials, work in progress, finished products and outgoing goods against the order specification.

Configuration support

Choose the CCT, controls, finish and identification for your platform. VST will assess the requested combination against the model and project requirements.

Export packing

Protective inner packing and outer cartons can be planned around the luminaire. Include handling and destination requirements in the packing discussion.

Inside the luminaire

Components that influence the lighting result

The component specification should be evaluated as part of the complete fixture.

Light generation

LED light source

VST specifies Philips Lumileds LEDs for the published high-bay models. The source affects output and color, but finished-luminaire performance also depends on the rest of the fixture. For color-sensitive work, select the required CCT and test a sample on the materials you use. The chip brand alone cannot establish brightness, color consistency or service life for every configuration.

Heat management

Die-cast aluminum housing

Heat must move from the light engine into the surrounding air. The finned aluminum housing provides surface area for that exchange, so the installation should leave the fins exposed to suitable airflow. Dust accumulation and an enclosed mounting position can affect the thermal conditions. Inspect the roof-level environment, including nearby heat sources, when specifying industrial high bay LED lights.

Light distribution

PC lens

The PC lens redirects emitted light into the selected distribution. Changing that distribution affects overlap between fixtures and illumination of vertical surfaces, even when total lumens are similar. Select the lens before requesting the final photometric layout. The 100W and 500W platforms have different published angle choices, so a lens option should always be associated with a particular model.

Industrial applications

Match the fixture to the activity below

Industrial high bay LED lights should serve the task and the building’s operating conditions.

General manufacturing

A production hall needs overhead visibility across machines and the routes between them. Establish equipment height, crane travel and the working planes that cannot fall into shadow. VST can use those constraints in a lighting simulation and identify suitable distributions without assuming that the existing fixture positions must be retained.

Pallet storage

High racks require visibility on stored goods as well as at floor level. Rack height, aisle width and changes in shelving geometry affect where light is useful. Supply the rack arrangement so VST can evaluate optics and fixture alignment, including vertical illumination on the faces used for identification.

Covered goods transfer

A covered transfer hall connects storage with dispatch and can combine daylight openings with deep interior areas. Check the roof structure, door positions and exposure conditions before choosing fittings. VST can assess the electrical configuration and layout for the covered area, with protection requirements defined for the actual installation.

Vehicle maintenance halls

Large service bays need clear sightlines around vehicles while leaving lifting and inspection equipment unobstructed. Identify the highest vehicle position and any access platforms that could conflict with suspended luminaires. VST can consider mounting locations and beam distribution as part of a proposal suited to the hall’s maintenance activities.

Utility equipment buildings

Indoor utility halls contain fixed machinery, overhead services and maintenance access routes. The lighting plan must account for equipment shadows, the available supply and any classified areas requiring a different product. VST can shortlist ordinary-location fixtures for suitable zones and separate locations that need additional technical qualification.

Discuss the site

Send the building outline and lighting task

Start with a rough plan, ceiling height and description of the work. VST can help define the configuration and information needed for your model proposal.

Customization can cover CCT, compatible controls, finish, cable details, identification and packaging. Optional lampshades and bracket mounting are published for the 100–240W platforms. The 300W model excludes those accessories; the 500W platform is specified for suspension without a lampshade. Define each zone’s configuration separately rather than assuming a common accessory set.
VST combines engineering support with checks during production. List every model and configuration on the order, and make sure the manufacturing instructions match the packing list. Discuss any third-party reports required for the selected product and destination.
Have a qualified installer isolate the supply and verify its voltage against each fixture. Check the supporting structure and specified suspension hardware, then route mains and control wiring according to the selected driver instructions. Keep equipment movement and maintenance access clear. After installation, check the lighting on the agreed working planes and document operating settings.

Questions about a multi-model order

List the quantities for each model alongside the production scope and delivery requirements.
01

The published minimums are 100 units for 100W and 150W, 50 for 200W and 240W, 30 for 300W, and 10 for 500W. List quantities by model. Customized requirements may affect the quotation, so these minimums should not be treated as interchangeable across the range.
02

Yes. Choose samples representing the site’s intended configurations. Agree any credit of sample charges toward subsequent production separately. Testing one platform does not establish another model’s performance or installation fit.
03

Published bulk-production guidance for the listed models is approximately 15–25 days. Light customization generally needs 3–4 weeks, and extensive work 4–6 weeks. Request an order-specific schedule based on the model mix, materials and scope. These are production periods; allow additional time for transport.
04

Private labeling and custom packaging are supported. Provide artwork and carton identification before production. Structural changes may involve separately quoted tooling charges.
05

Samples are paid in full in advance through PayPal, Western Union or bank transfer. The usual bulk-order arrangement is bank transfer with a 30% deposit and 70% before shipment. Put the agreed payment terms on the order documents.
06

The published high-bay models carry a five-year warranty. Send a short description with photos or video identifying the affected units. VST can discuss replacement support, either as a separate dispatch or with the next shipment, after assessing the reported issue.

Before specification

Resolve the remaining project boundaries

Clarify the electrical and operating boundaries before selecting industrial high bay LED lights. These questions address constraints that can require a different product or installation approach.

Yes. Provide a dimensioned sketch, interior photographs and the main lighting task. Say whether this is a replacement or a new installation. VST can identify the missing information before preparing a detailed layout.

No published model in this comparison lists 480V input. The 100–300W models specify 100–277V AC, while the 500W model specifies 180–305V AC. An industrial supply must match the selected driver range; request a separately supported electrical solution if your site is outside it.

No. IP65 does not establish explosion protection. Provide the hazardous-area classification if flammable dust, vapor or gas is present. These general industrial models must not be assumed suitable for such locations.

Describe both the interface and how the lighting should behave.
Control route Information to provide
Analog dimming Controller model, wiring and required off behavior
Sensor operation Detection zone, mounting height and occupancy pattern
Wireless control System, gateway and operating requirements

No. Different output, distribution and obstructions can make the old spacing unsuitable. Compare the proposed photometry with the working-plane requirements, using the existing layout as starting information rather than a fixed replacement rule.

Emergency operation is not established for the base fixtures. Specify the required duration and task. A proposed emergency arrangement needs its own electrical and compliance assessment before it can be included in the supply scope.

Provide existing system input power, fixture quantities, operating hours and control behavior. Compare that baseline with the proposed installation using explicit assumptions. Without it, a fixed savings percentage would not reliably describe your project.
