Building lighting
Choose fittings for the room and its ceiling
Existing ceiling fit
Record the ceiling opening or surface fixings. Check that a recessed fitting and its housing will fit inside the available void.
Comfort at eye level
Check normal viewing positions, screens, and polished surfaces. The layout needs to control visible brightness as well as provide light on the floor.
Operating patterns
Identify which circulation areas stay lit and which rooms are used intermittently. Specify switching and controls for the operating pattern in each area.

Project coordination
One fixture schedule across your building
Room-based quotations
VST can quote by room and fixture type. This keeps quantities, finishes, and any substitutions clear when you order the building package.
Engineering discussion
Discuss electrical requirements with ceiling construction and light distribution. VST engineers can help resolve conflicts before they require installation changes on site.
Measured sample checks
Integrating-sphere measurements can check lumen output, CCT, and CRI on the agreed sample. Use the results when discussing the fixture specification with VST.
Phased production support
Give VST the planned release dates for rooms or buildings. Discuss quantities and packing for each phase, and check product availability before setting the installation schedule.

Different fixtures for different room tasks
Surface-mounted office downlight
Adjustable retail track head

Useful specification checks
Mounting, controls, and model records

Layout inputs
Mark task surfaces and mounting positions on the room plan. They provide the information needed to calculate where the selected fitting will put light.

Housing choice
Recessed and surface-mounted fittings occupy different parts of the ceiling. Use their published drawings to check the opening, housing space, and mounting arrangement.

Control connection
Match the driver option to the control system. A stated dimming interface identifies the connection, but compatibility still needs to be checked.

Model identification
Use model codes and carton labels when receiving the order. They help the installation team assign similar-looking fittings to the intended rooms.

The company behind your fixture order
Meet VST before discussing your building order. Identify the standard models needed for each room and any engineering changes. Evaluate those fittings using their product specifications and test documents alongside the company introduction.
Working together on a building order
Hear a customer view of working with VST. For your order, agree how engineering and sales will communicate room quantities and technical changes. Record those decisions so everyone uses the same project requirements.

Before choosing fittings
Questions before selecting your commercial LED lighting
Choose the controls that suit the room and selected driver.
| Situation | Decision |
|---|---|
| Existing wall dimmer | Check the driver and dimmer compatibility |
| Central lighting control | Match the required communication interface |
| Simple switched circuit | Select the appropriate non-dimming configuration |
Record the control choice in the fixture schedule. Check the actual driver against the existing controller, including low-level dimming behavior. Fittings from different families may behave differently even where both are described as dimmable.
