Continuous light in compact spaces

COB LED Strip Choices for Furniture and Architectural Details

Bring a continuous light line into a shelf, channel or recessed detail. Select the COB LED strip by its voltage and color-control type, then match the width, cutting interval and power to the installation.
  • Published white, CCT, RGB and multichannel choices
  • Narrow and wider PCB configurations by model
  • Lead, connector and reel-label customization
  • Samples for the actual channel and viewing distance

Product selection

Choose the light effect and electrical format together

The continuous emitting surface can reduce the visible point pattern in close-view details. The finished appearance still depends on the channel, cover and viewing distance.
VST is a COB LED strip supplier with thirty-two published low-voltage models. Single-color, CCT, RGB, RGBW, RGBCCT and addressable reels need different supplies and controls. Choose the effect and channel space, then compare width, cutting intervals and power. Discuss prepared leads and packaging with VST so the selected strip arrives ready for the agreed assembly work.
✓

Continuous appearance

View a sample in the intended channel and cover. A smooth bare emitting line does not guarantee the same result through every diffuser or reflective surface.

✓

Supply and controls

Choose voltage and control type as one configuration. White dimming, tunable white, multichannel color and addressable effects require different connections.

✓

Usable section lengths

The marked cutting interval sets the available finished lengths. Include pads, connectors and cable exits when planning a short furniture or display section.

Working with VST

Strip preparation for repeat assembly

VST is a COB LED strip manufacturer that can prepare the circuit, connection and reel identification for your assembly.
✓

Support for tight installation spaces

VST can help with the electrical and structural details of the strip, channel and wiring when a tight cavity makes installation from a standard reel difficult.

✓

Color and output checks

Integrating-sphere measurements support model-specific comparisons of output, CCT and CRI. Request the sample data and market documents relevant to your selected configuration.

✓

Prepared connection details

Specify lead length and connection type with the voltage and control channels. VST can discuss which connections can be prepared before delivery to simplify assembly.

✓

Order identification

Reel labels and packaging distinguish voltages, colors and control types that look similar when unlit. Match those identifiers to the accepted sample.

Understand the construction

What the COB surface changes

A continuous emitting surface can use several control circuits.
A COB LED strip places closely spaced sources beneath a continuous encapsulated emitting surface, helping reduce visible points in a narrow light line. Electrical designs still differ: single color, tunable white and digital color need different circuits and controls. Compare the complete model’s width, cutting and power, then view its light through the actual cover. A protective coating also changes the assembly and termination work. The visible line alone cannot determine which supply, controller or connection to order.

Product configurations

Continuous emitting line

The encapsulated light-source surface helps produce a smooth visible line. The final diffuser and mounting position still shape what you see.

Defined cut points

Model-specific intervals divide the strip into usable sections. Keeping a complete section preserves the intended circuit and connection pads.

Control choices

White, color and addressable models support different effects. Choose the channel structure before ordering the controller and prepared leads.

Contact with the channel

A suitable mounting surface supports the strip and its thermal path. The adhesive, protective layer and channel must work together.

Inside the construction

The layers and contacts behind the light line

Component detail

COB light-source layer

The encapsulated source layer creates the continuous emitting line. Its phosphor and LEDs affect color and output, while the cover changes transmission and appearance. Compare the ordered CCT and color-rendering option against the real finish. A COB LED strip photo cannot establish the result beside reflective stone, glass or shelving.

Component detail

Flexible PCB

The flexible PCB carries the circuit and defines the width and cutting sections. Those sections limit the finished lengths available for a cabinet or profile. Support the board without sharp creases, especially near joints. Feed positions and cable routing must suit the selected voltage, power and installed section lengths.

Component detail

Connection pads

The connection pads must match the selected white, multichannel or digital circuit. Leave room for the termination and cable strain relief inside the host. A connector chosen only by PCB width can miss the contact pattern or obstruct the cover; test the actual interface before approving a prepared strip.

Applications

Where a continuous light line helps

The host detail determines the width, feed and visible result.
Decorative shelf arrangement: beige ceramic vase, shallow speckled bowl, white ribbed vase, and a small dark cup under warm lighting.

Furniture niches

A shallow furniture niche can use a continuous line without making individual light points prominent. Check channel depth, visible viewing angles and space for the feed wires. VST can compare suitable PCB widths and prepare a COB LED strip sample to assess with the actual finish, cover and displayed objects.
Luxurious hotel lobby with beige sofa, green cushions, and warm ambient ceiling lighting.

Architectural coves

A ceiling cove spreads indirect light across a broad surface, making feed planning important along long runs. Establish section lengths, supply locations and the required white tone before choosing power. VST can discuss the relevant strip and wiring approach, with a sample section to compare the cove geometry and reflected appearance.
Oval backlit mirror over a wooden dresser, with a plant and tray; reflection shows a softly lit bedroom wardrobe.

Mirror perimeters

A mirror perimeter needs an even-looking halo with enough space behind the frame for the light and wiring. Check the installation environment, bend direction, thermal contact and clearance from the wall. VST can suggest a suitable configuration and lead arrangement for a prototype of the complete mirror assembly.
Jewelry display case featuring a pendant necklace, a ring, and a silver watch on white stands, with a potted plant in the background.

Glass showcases

A showcase puts both merchandise and the light source close to the viewer. Compare color rendering, reflections in the glass and the space inside the frame. VST can supply a model-specific sample for the chosen profile, helping you judge the object’s appearance without assuming that a bare-strip photo represents the finished case.

Counter accent lines

A curved counter can use a concealed strip to outline its fascia without a bulky visible fixture. Check the supported bend direction, curve radius, protective cover and access to each feed. VST can discuss strip preparation and connection positions so the sample follows the actual counter construction.

Ordering and cooperation

COB strip supply questions

Agree the model and preparation scope before placing the order.
01

Samples are available for the selected strip and channel. Agree on the configuration, charge and any credit against a later bulk order before preparation.
02

LED strips generally start at 500 meters. Model, prepared lengths, connector work and packing can change the final minimum. VST will state the quantity applicable to the chosen COB configuration in its quotation.
03

Yes. Private labels and packaging can identify model, voltage, color and batch details for assembly. Extensive electrical or structural changes and tooling are assessed separately from ordinary reel labels and cartons.
04

Regular production normally needs 2 to 3 weeks. Light customization takes about 3 to 4 weeks; extensive development, 4 to 6 weeks. Scope and materials affect timing. Allow additional time for approvals and transport.
05

No. Strip coverage is generally two or three years, with five years limited to selected products. Use the chosen model’s published term and final quotation. Another product’s warranty does not apply automatically.
06

Send the model, order reference and a brief issue description with photos or video. After assessment, VST can discuss replacement material sent separately or included with a later shipment.

Product questions

Power, cutting and control questions

When dividing a reel into installed sections, plan the cut lengths and feeds together. Match the control channels and protect each connection.

Effect Format to compare
One fixed white or color Single-color model
Adjustable white tone CCT model and matching channels
Color with a separate white output RGBW or RGBCCT
Moving or segmented effects Addressable model and compatible protocol

Reel length does not define the feed arrangement. The strip circuit, cable resistance and operating load determine voltage drop. Agree on the model’s permitted run and feed points before using a long COB LED strip reel as one continuous installation.

Use complete cutting sections and allow space for leads and end caps. An unmarked cut can leave an unusable end. Prepared lengths must follow the chosen model’s interval.

RGB mixes colors; RGBW and RGBCCT have a separate white function. Select the controller for the required scenes, and sample the COB LED strip in the white mode intended for useful illumination.

No. Cuts, leads and connectors need suitable sealing for the actual exposure. A coated reel alone does not establish the protection of the complete installed assembly.

Use the chosen model’s power requirement and intended active channels over the connected length. Follow the supply manufacturer’s loading guidance and check controller capacity and cable losses. Similar-looking COB LED strip models may have different electrical loads.
