Curved channel options

Bendable LED profile for arcs that straight sections cannot follow

A bendable LED profile follows a curved lighting route around the actual surface, with the bending plane defined before the channel is selected.
  • Segmented metal bodies make a controlled arc possible.
  • Radius and bending direction require a sample check.
  • Published floor models provide wider section choices.
  • VST can compare your route drawing with a trial piece.

Product overview

Let the route define the profile

A bendable LED profile follows a planned arc while carrying an LED strip through a finished linear detail.
The metal section, cover and strip must handle the same bend direction. A gentle plan-view curve does not establish that the assembly can follow a vertical arch. The slotted body also cannot show whether the finished light line will look continuous. Start with a full-size route or radius drawing. Check where the profile touches the host, how it is restrained between segments and whether its cover and tape can be installed after bending.
✓

Bending plane

Show whether the light line turns left and right or rises and falls. The same slotted body may not suit both directions.

✓

Radius on site

Provide the tightest arc and a full-size drawing or template when possible; do not infer a safe radius from a product photo.

✓

Cover continuity

Examine the chosen diffuser across the bend at normal viewing distance; its behavior can be different from the bare aluminum body.

Development support

A curved route needs a measured sample

VST can discuss aluminum profile supply together with strip and cover selection. As a bendable LED profile supplier, VST should establish the bending plane and route tolerance before presenting a finished assembly as repeatable.
✓

Route-based shortlist

A drawing showing the bend direction and tightest radius helps VST exclude unsuitable rigid or slotted sections before sampling.

✓

Separate material checks

The aluminum body, LED tape and diffuser can respond differently to a curve. VST can coordinate a sample of the proposed combination for your host structure.

✓

Joinery coordination

For curved furniture, the profile mounting face and adjacent panel may need different tolerances. Recording both details reduces rework when the product is assembled.

✓

Order definition

VST can discuss cut length, surface finish and packing format after the profile form is settled, helping the approved route remain consistent in later batches.

Bendable construction

A profile curve is a system decision

A bendable led extrusion uses a geometry that can follow a planned curve; the visible light line also depends on what is installed inside it.
The supplied FAP pictures show slotted aluminum forms, while published BFR and BFT products describe bendable floor sections. These are not interchangeable specifications. Match the bend direction, radius, strip width, diffuser, substrate and fixing method as one assembly. A curved led profile may need gradual support along its length rather than a few end fixings. Before finalizing a ceiling or furniture arc, check a short powered sample and an unpowered full-size shape template if the radius is tight.

Candidate profiles

Choose the route and evidence level

Once the arc sample is approved, VST can supply repeat lengths as a bendable LED profile wholesale supplier. Published floor models link to their VST pages; the pictured FAP bodies require a configuration inquiry.

Curve checkpoints

What makes a bend repeatable

A bendable LED profile factory can work from the radius and support plan, then match the visible finish to an approved sample.

Segmented geometry

Relief cuts permit the aluminum body to form an arc. The allowable direction and radius belong to a specific design, not the category name.

Full-size curve

A radius or physical template lets the profile be compared with the intended wall, counter or floor path before bulk cutting.

Matched light cover

The diffuser needs its own curve check so it remains seated and the visual line follows the metal body.

Planned cut points

Ends and cable exits should land where the host can support and service the assembly without opening a bend.

Physical construction

Read the bare profile before adding light

The source images show metal geometry. They do not establish a complete electrical or protected assembly.

Main structure

Aluminum spine

The continuous portion of the aluminum profile carries the LED tape and transfers its weight to the host. It also gives the profile a defined shape while the slotted edge allows a bend. Check that this spine remains in contact with the mounting surface through the full arc. The photographed FAP bodies are useful for visual comparison, but their dimensions and thermal suitability need a current section drawing before a specific strip can be selected.

Curve relief

Segment slots

Repeated slots create the visible flexibility in the supplied metal samples. Their spacing and depth affect how the body forms a curve and how smooth the finished path looks. They do not prove a minimum radius or whether bending can occur in both planes. VST can compare the intended arc with a sample, then record how the form was made and held so the same result can be repeated for additional lengths.

Attachment

Fixing points

Perforations and tabs visible in the bare profile provide possible positions for mechanical attachment, but the final fastener depends on the substrate. A curved route needs enough support to prevent the channel springing away from the surface. Plan fixing access before the cover and strip are fitted. An OEM bendable LED profile supplier can discuss the host material and fastening sequence with you rather than relying on adhesive tape alone.

Curved applications

Five routes with different shape constraints

A bendable LED profile must follow the specific host curve in each setting. The same curve drawing is rarely enough to specify every installation. Surface, viewing angle and access change the choice.

Rounded retail islands

A display island can carry a light line around a broad outside corner without stopping at a straight joint. Check the bend plane, counter edge radius and impact exposure where people pass. VST can compare a candidate section with the furniture drawing and discuss a short installed sample before the island panels are finalized.

Arched wall niches

An arched reception niche needs a profile that follows a vertical radius without lifting away from the plaster edge. Confirm support points, cover behavior and service access at the top of the arch. VST can use a full-size template or radius drawing to examine the proposed profile and diffuser combination.

Curved furniture faces

A rounded cabinet face often has little internal room for wiring or fastening. Establish the substrate, lead exit and the sightline to the diffuser before selecting a metal body. VST can discuss a cut-length plan that places joins away from the most visible part of the curve.

Ceiling arcs

A long overhead arc exposes inconsistencies in spacing and light-line smoothness. Check whether the ceiling slot is built to a constant radius and how the profile will be supported between fixings. VST can assess the route drawing, a trial section and the cover type before a production run is scheduled.

Curved counter fascia

A hospitality counter can use a gentle illuminated line along its rounded front. Confirm cleaning exposure, collision risk and a concealed driver location before committing to the profile. VST can discuss a suitable protected assembly and a sample length; the bare FAP body alone is not a sealed counter system.

Shape first

Send the curve that the profile must follow

Share the route, bend direction, radius, strip width and host material. VST can compare published and FAP candidates, then propose a shape trial. For repeated curved products, VST is a bendable LED profile OEM supplier after sample approval.

Technical details

Published floor profiles and curve planning

The Datasheet lists the bendable floor models with verified online specifications. Bare FAP samples need current drawings before numerical comparison. A bendable LED profile drawing must also state the bending plane.
Model Published section and strip space
BFR2020 W 20 × H 20mm; up to 16mm strip
BFT3020 W 30 × H 20mm; up to 22mm strip
BFT5024 W 50 × H 24mm; up to 42mm strip
VST can discuss section choice, cut length, finish, diffuser and packaging for a curved route. Radius and bending plane must be established for the proposed configuration. An extensive change to the aluminum section may need tooling and a separately agreed sample.
A segmented profile is formed and cut to the intended section before finishing and accessory matching. The bend itself should be evaluated on a representative sample with its actual cover and strip.
Mark the complete curve on the host first, then trial-fit the bare profile without forcing it through a tighter radius. Support the body at suitable intervals and plan the cable path.

Cooperation feedback

Supply planning

Commercial questions for curved profiles

A defined route makes quantity, timing and sampling easier to quote.
01

About 300 meters is a general starting point for aluminum profile planning. The actual minimum depends on the chosen section, finish, forming work and accessory set. A custom radius or new tooling may change the feasible order, so the quotation should use the defined configuration.
02

Samples are available. A meaningful sample should include the proposed metal profile and, where possible, its cover and strip. Sample charges may be credited against a later bulk order if agreed.
03

VST supports suitable finishes, private labeling and custom packaging. An unfamiliar finish, special cut plan or extensive profile change may carry tooling costs. State the visible finish and packing method early, since both affect how the curved pieces are handled.
04

For samples, PayPal, Western Union and bank transfer are available with full advance payment. Bulk orders normally use a 30% bank-transfer deposit and the remaining 70% before shipment. Any tooling, sample or special packing charge should appear separately in the quotation.

Curve questions

Resolve the bend before specifying light

Choose a bendable LED profile around the route and its host. The remaining questions cover the bare body, cover, tape, mounting and protected floor applications.

Do not assume so.
Route Check first
Plan-view curve Side-bend capability
Vertical arch Top-bend capability
Compound route Separate engineering assessment
The local FAP pictures show formed metal arcs but do not document both bending planes. Give VST the route drawing so the candidate body can be assessed in the intended direction.

No reliable minimum radius is established by the supplied photos. Slot spacing and alloy shape are only part of the answer; the cover, tape and mounting surface may impose a larger limit. Request a current profile drawing and trial the tightest real curve before the radius becomes a production requirement.

The tape must be compatible with the curve and with the profile’s strip platform. LED packages, solder joints and connectors can be stressed when the tape is bent too tightly or in the wrong plane. Test a short powered assembly with the selected tape; do not use the aluminum body’s flexibility as proof that every strip will survive the route.

That depends on the specific cover and the profile’s retaining geometry. A cover that snaps cleanly onto a straight piece may lift or crease on a tighter arc. Check insertion direction, joint location and the appearance at normal viewing distance after the profile is fixed to the host, not just when the loose parts are on a bench.

The supplied FAP images show bare slotted metal profiles and do not establish a complete floor-rated assembly. VST’s published BFR and BFT models are separate bendable floor product pages. For walking surfaces, specify the exact floor model, substrate, load environment, sealing and diffuser construction rather than substituting a pictured FAP shape.
