LED profile selection

Rigid aluminum channel with silicone diffuser for cabinet lighting

Each SIR/SIT model is a rigid aluminum channel with a silicone diffuser option. Choose the section from the cabinet groove or display edge, then check the cover and LED strip together.
  • Six published sections cover recessed, angled and surface mounting.
  • All list aluminum as the base material.
  • Each supports LED strips up to 5.5 mm wide.
  • These rigid channels do not bend like all-silicone neon sleeves.

Where to start

Choose the rigid channel and diffuser together

The silicone in this series is a diffuser option. The aluminum body remains rigid, so it belongs in a defined groove or on a fixed edge.
SIR0607, SIR0610 and SIR0918A suit narrow recessed details. SIR1410A directs the line at an angle; SIT2210 and SIT2510 sit on surface edges. VSTโ€™s published specifications give all six an aluminum base and a strip-width limit of 5.5 mm, with silicone among the cover materials. Choose the mounting section first, then test the strip and diffuser together for the intended view. For an aluminum channel with silicone diffuser, show the host groove or edge and chosen cover. As an aluminum LED profile supplier, VST can identify an SIR/SIT section for sampling.
✓

Section fit

SIR0607 is a micro groove section; SIT2510 mounts on an edge. Both list the same 5.5 mm strip limit but different geometry.

✓

Strip interface

All six published sections accept strips up to 5.5 mm wide; the wire exit still needs space.

✓

Visible face

Compare silicone, PC and PMMA cover options with the actual strip and viewing angle.

Supply support

How VST supports rigid channel selection

As an aluminum LED profile manufacturer, VST can match the published SIR/SIT metal section with a silicone, PC or PMMA cover. The two parts must fit each other.
✓

Clear material scope

The published tables name aluminum as the base and silicone as one cover option. That lets you specify a rigid channel without confusing it with a flexible sleeve.

✓

Micro-section choice

SIR0607 and SIR0610 fit different groove depths. Compare their sections with the host material before routing a cabinet or equipment panel.

✓

Directed faces

SIR1410A directs the line from a corner, while the SIT models sit on an edge. Choose the light direction before fixing the opening or bracket.

✓

Sample control

A sample with your LED strip shows how the diffuser seats and how the line looks close up. Use that assembly to approve the cover and section together.

Product scope

What an aluminum channel with silicone diffuser contains

The silicone cover option belongs to a rigid aluminum channel.
An aluminum channel with silicone diffuser has a rigid metal body and an optional cover that softens the visible line. VSTโ€™s six SIR/SIT models list aluminum as the base and silicone alongside PC and PMMA as diffuser materials. The channel cannot bend around a curved route. Its narrow strip space and recessed, angled or surface shapes suit cabinet and display details when the section fits the host structure. Specify the LED strip and driver separately.

Selection details

Rigid section and diffuser selection points

The published base, cover, strip limit and mounting shape define this range.

Aluminum base

The rigid body is aluminum in the published series, which defines the mounting form.

Silicone option

Silicone is listed as one diffuser material; pair it with the exact extrusion section.

Narrow strips

Every published model states support for LED strips up to 5.5 mm wide.

Shape routes

Recessed micro, angled and surface sections cover different mounting tasks.

Construction

Inside an aluminum channel with silicone diffuser

The aluminum seat, cover and angled face have different effects on fit and light direction.

Component 1

Aluminum channel

The metal channel provides the rigid mounting shape and the seat for the narrow LED strip. Published SIR and SIT model data identify aluminum as the base material. A micro recessed SIR0607 section has a different mounting face from a surface SIT2510 section, even though both accept up to a 5.5 mm strip. Use the exact cross-section when designing the host groove or fixture edge.

Component 2

Silicone diffuser

Silicone is offered as a diffuser material in the published series. Its profile and retention must match the chosen aluminum section; a flexible silicone neon sleeve is a different product form. Compare a sample with the specified strip for evenness, color appearance and cleaning access. Do not assume that the material name alone establishes a waterproof rating or a particular bend radius.

Component 3

Angled light face

The SIR1410A section has a directional face that changes where light falls in a cabinet corner. That light-facing geometry is an integral physical part of the extrusion and must align with the fixing surface. A square micro profile cannot reproduce its angle without a different installation. Compare the drawing with your cabinet wall and display target before choosing the LED strip.

Where it fits

Where an aluminum channel with silicone diffuser fits

For an aluminum LED profile OEM supplier inquiry, show the groove or fixture edge. A micro recess, angled corner and visible surface need different SIR/SIT sections.

Wardrobe micro grooves

A small SIR section can form a close-view line in a wardrobe groove without exposing a large housing. Measure the groove and cable exit, then check the strip PCB. Send VST the panel section to choose between SIR0607 and SIR0610, then request a fit sample in the intended furniture material.

Display cabinet corners

SIR1410A points light from a display cabinet corner. Check the fixing angle and glare from the normal viewing position, then select the strip color. VST can use your display drawing to set the section, diffuser option and light direction for a sample installation in that cabinet.

Retail fixture edges

SIT2210 or SIT2510 can sit on a retail fixture edge where a groove is unavailable. Decide how much body may remain visible and where it can be fixed and serviced. Compare both sections with VST against the fixture material on a fitted sample before choosing the exposed line.

Compact equipment faces

Equipment trim may have space for a narrow rigid line but little room for wiring. Check operating temperature, access and the 5.5 mm strip-width limit. VST can compare a recessed SIR section with the equipment drawing to see whether the channel and cable can both fit.

Furniture accent rails

A slim aluminum body with a silicone cover option can soften a furniture light line viewed at close range. Set the direction and visible face before choosing recessed or surface mounting. Use the furniture sample and strip with VST to match a published section and test the light line.

Working with VST

Ordering rigid SIR/SIT aluminum sections

Name the rigid channel and cover material when discussing samples or bulk supply.
01

These aluminum profiles generally start around 300 meters. The exact MOQ depends on the SIR or SIT model, diffuser material and finish. Give VST the section code and chosen silicone option so the production scope is clear.
02

Yes. VST can discuss a sample of the selected rigid section and diffuser. The sample fee may be credited to a later bulk order when agreed in advance. Use your actual 5.5 mm or narrower strip to judge light appearance.
03

VST can discuss surface color, cover finish and cut length for the chosen section. A new profile geometry or tooling change may carry a charge. Agree the complete aluminum-and-diffuser sample before treating it as a standard repeat item.
04

Regular product production commonly takes 2-3 weeks. Light customization can take approximately 3-4 weeks, while extensive development may take 4-6 weeks. Material and schedule need to be checked for the exact diffuser option; freight time is separate.
05

Sample orders accept PayPal, Western Union or bank transfer with full advance payment. Bulk orders typically use bank transfer, 30% deposit and 70% before shipment. Put the rigid channel code and chosen diffuser material on the order.
06

Send the section code, affected batch and photos or video showing how the cover seats in the channel. VST can evaluate a product quality issue and discuss replacement pieces, either sent separately or with a later shipment, according to the order terms.

Product questions

Fit questions for rigid aluminum channels

For an aluminum channel with silicone diffuser, check the metal section, cover and 5.5 mm strip limit together. An aluminum LED profile vendor should pair the exact body with the chosen diffuser.

No. The six VST products covered here have rigid aluminum bases and list silicone as a diffuser material option.
Part Published material
Channel body Aluminum
Diffuser option Silicone, PC or PMMA

The published series data lists compatibility up to 5.5 mm strip width for all six models. A 10 mm PCB therefore exceeds the stated limit. Choose a narrower strip or another profile family after checking the complete assembly.

Their aluminum bodies are rigid sections; the silicone diffuser option does not make the assembled profile a flexible neon tube. For a curved path, provide the bend geometry and ask for a product intended for that use instead of field-bending a rigid extrusion.

No. A diffuser material does not establish an IP rating for the whole assembly. Water protection depends on ends, joints, cable entry and tested construction. If exposure is part of your project, specify those conditions and evaluate an appropriate protected system.

SIR1410A has an angled published cross-section and is a relevant starting point for corner-directed light. Check its 16 by 10 mm nominal section against the cabinet corner and use a sample to judge the actual beam direction with your strip.

The listed SIR models emphasize recessed and angled integration, while SIT2210 and SIT2510 are surface sections for display edges. Compare the exact drawing and visible face. The same 5.5 mm strip-width limit does not make their mounting methods interchangeable.
