Six-foot retrofit options

6ft LED tube lights for your existing lamp standard

Match 6ft LED tube lights to the original lamp and fitting, starting with VST's listed 1800mm T8 model.
  • Compare actual dimensions with the old lamp standard.
  • Keep G13, FA8 and R17d requirements separate.
  • Specify the supply arrangement along with the cap.
  • Assess special interfaces or added functions before production.

A less common length

Identify the original lamp before choosing its replacement

6ft LED tube lights may let you keep sound existing fittings. Identify the regional lamp standard and connection type before specifying the replacement.
VST lists a 1800mm, 30W T8 model as a starting option when you need a 6ft LED tube light supplier. Send the old lamp code with its dimensions and holder photos. Six-foot fittings from different markets may require different lamps. The technical check should establish whether the listed model fits or needs a different cap, electrical arrangement or structural change.
✓

Keep the original designation

Keep the old lamp code, even if the lamp has failed. It may identify a length standard that a rounded metric description would miss.

✓

Inspect fixture condition

Inspect the existing housing and holders before ordering a special-length lamp. Damage to the fitting can change whether retaining it is economical.

✓

Separate regional interfaces

Six-foot lamps may have different bases and supply requirements across markets. Identify the complete interface for each fitting before sourcing its replacement.

Long-format engineering

Check the standard model against your fitting

VST can help match the listed model to your installation as a 6ft LED tube manufacturer. Its engineers can identify changes needed beyond the standard construction.
✓

Structural assessment

The mechanical team can compare the required span and cap geometry with the listed model, then identify whether the drawing or interface needs to change.

✓

Electrical scope review

Our electrical engineers can discuss the supply and operating method. A special lamp length still needs documented compatibility with the circuit it will use.

✓

Commercial scope clarity

Technical and commercial teams can establish whether the request needs a small adaptation or substantial development, then clarify the quotation before sample or tooling costs are incurred.

✓

Export handling support

VST can discuss packing and shipment coordination for the long lamps. Base the carton and protection choices on the actual tube dimensions and handling needs.

Length standards

Which six-foot lamp standard does the fitting use?

6ft LED tube lights describe a nominal long-lamp class. The exact lamp length, cap and wiring determine whether a product fits a particular installation.
Six feet converts to 1828.8mm. Lamps in this nominal class can use different metric descriptions and actual lengths. A legacy G13 fluorescent replacement may not match a 72-inch single-pin or recessed-contact lamp. Compare drawings that show the surfaces or contacts used for measurement. Select 6ft LED tube lights using the original lamp designation, those dimensions and the electrical arrangement together. Extending a shorter tube does not by itself establish a compatible interface or proportionally scaled performance.

Market-supported directions

Choose the interface for the six-foot fitting

VST can assess the request as a 6ft LED tube OEM supplier, using the listed 1800mm model as the starting point. FA8 and R17d versions need a separately agreed construction.

Project definition

Set the requirements before placing the order

Identify what the proposed lamp needs to demonstrate during the assessment.

Engineering scope

VST can support changes beyond the listed model. Identify the cap, supply method and extra functions first so the customization scope is clear.

Agreed acceptance checks

Incoming and final inspections can follow the accepted construction. Agree the dimensional and assembly checks before releasing a new version for production.

Model-level evidence

The listed 30W model has output options. Request photometric evidence for the version you choose when illumination at the working plane determines the choice.

Handling protection

Base packaging on the lamp's actual span and the protection its contacts need. Use those dimensions when planning carton handling and shipment consolidation.

Architecture to establish

Check the components of the long lamp

The source, housing and cover of 6ft LED tube lights each affect a different part of the selection.

Primary emitter

LED light source for the required span

The light source needs to deliver the output and color selected for the application. VST lists SMD2835 emitters for its tube family, but finished-lamp performance depends on the complete version. Use complete-lamp measurements to assess it. The source layout also affects the appearance along a long lit surface. Check that appearance in the retained fitting before deciding what illumination the installation will provide.

Mechanical structure

Housing along a longer unsupported span

The housing keeps the lamp straight between its supports and provides mechanical and thermal functions. Check its section and material against the required span, including straightness, contact retention and clearance in the fitting. An existing extrusion may be suitable, but it still needs assessment at the intended length. Establish electrical and optical performance separately; a mechanical fit does not demonstrate either of those results.

Optical enclosure

Diffuser across the full emitting length

Match the cover to the housing and the task below it. A long lit surface can be conspicuous under a low ceiling, so inspect its appearance and shielding in the fitting. Specify whether direct visibility or reflections are the main concern. Judge the complete lamp in the retained fixture: the appearance of a short cover sample alone cannot establish the final optical result.

Supplier introduction

Company background for a long-tube project

Use these introductions alongside the technical discussion of your six-foot requirement.

Understand VST's broader business

The company video introduces VST before you discuss the long-tube order. Bring the model and fixture details to that conversation. Each regional cap and circuit pairing still needs to be checked; general company background cannot establish compatibility for the particular installation.

Cooperation when details need work

The customer video gives context for the working relationship. Agree how questions and decisions will be communicated on your special-length project. It is not a record of your proposed installation, and product output, compatibility and service life require separate evidence.

Application requirements

Check whether the existing long fittings suit the task

Evaluate 6ft LED tube lights against the task and condition of the retained installation.

Legacy warehouse fittings

Existing warehouse fittings may already suit the rack layout. Record the original lamp standard, holder condition and light needed on the pick faces. VST can assess a six-foot proposal and discuss the evidence needed to judge its distribution in a representative aisle before extending the replacement across the warehouse.

Industrial maintenance areas

Maintenance areas need clear visibility around equipment and access for overhead servicing. Check actual lamp length, mounting clearance and exposure to contamination or vibration. VST can discuss the required construction and inspection checks, while repairs to the existing fitting remain a separate part of preparing the area for replacement lamps.

Long retail ceiling rows

Replacing every fitting in an older retail ceiling can be expensive. Check the end connections, light needed on shelf faces and the appearance of adjacent lamps. VST can assess the proposed length and light direction so you can compare retaining the present layout with replacing the fixtures themselves.

Indoor parking retrofit runs

Parking fittings need adequate ceiling clearance and protection for their environment. Check the enclosure, holder security and any separate emergency-lighting requirement before choosing a six-foot lamp. Our team can assess the proposed construction against those conditions; protection and safety functions must also be checked for the complete installed system.

Long service corridors

Long corridor fittings may have been positioned to maintain a continuous light pattern. Measure the actual span and identify the control groups, access restrictions and existing distribution. VST can discuss a feasible tube design and a representative place to test it before you allocate quantities to the rest of the corridor.

Establish the supply route

Send the lamp details for a six-foot quotation

Send the old lamp code, end views and quantity. As your 6ft LED tube factory partner, VST can assess the listed model against the fitting and identify any changes the installation requires.

Published six-foot platform

1800mm T8 data and configuration notes

Use the listed model data below, then match the cap and electrical version to the installation.
Model VST-T8-1800-30W
Nominal length 1800mm / 6ft
Power 30W
Published output options 3000โ€“5400lm, depending on configuration
Construction Aluminum alloy housing and PC cover
Light-source family SMD2835
Give VST the interface and application details when choosing it as a 6ft LED tube wholesale supplier. Cap, supply, optical options, labels and packing can be discussed around the 1800mm model. A special regional fit or an additional control function needs a separate technical assessment.
For 6ft LED tube lights, production follows the chosen version and accepted sample. Assembly instructions identify the source, housing, wiring and caps. VST's inspection stages support the agreed checks, with the same version identified in the order and packing records.
Do not install an unverified special-length lamp as a trial on an energized fixture. Have a qualified electrician identify the old circuit and follow the accepted replacement's instructions. Check both mechanical retention and electrical compatibility before commissioning. If the retained fitting is damaged or unsuitable, evaluate replacement of the complete luminaire.

Working with VST

Agreeing a custom-length project

01

It may. Tooling can be necessary for extensive changes, depending on the structure and components available. Agree the purpose and amount of any charge before proceeding. A six-foot request does not carry an assumed tooling price or an automatic reimbursement commitment.
02

The six-foot model has an MOQ of 120 pieces. State the cap, electrical version and customization requirements so VST can confirm the complete order terms in the quotation.
03

A representative sample can be arranged for the chosen six-foot configuration. By agreement, its charge may later be applied as credit to a bulk purchase. Use this stage to evaluate the lamp in the retained fitting before committing the wider installation quantity.
04

First define the development scope, then agree a schedule. Typical production takes approximately 4โ€“6 weeks for extensive customization, approximately 3โ€“4 weeks for light customization, or 2โ€“3 weeks for regular products. These production ranges exclude shipping, and any separate development activity must also be planned.
05

The usual bulk terms are a 30% bank-transfer deposit, with the remaining 70% due before dispatch. Evaluation samples require advance payment in full; bank transfer, PayPal and Western Union are supported. Model-specific warranty coverage and the accepted configuration should be recorded in the commercial quotation.

Product questions

Questions before a special-length commitment

6ft LED tube lights can replace lamps in an existing installation when the standard and circuit match. Check regional dimensions, conversion choices and any extra functions against the selected 1800mm model before committing to the full project quantity. The questions below address those decisions.

The original marking is a useful lead, but the complete lamp code and dimensions are needed. A power value does not uniquely identify the replacement interface. Provide the marking together with end photographs and the fixture information so the proposed LED route addresses the actual lamp standard.

Do not assume interchangeability. Those descriptions may refer to different products or measurement conventions.
Information Required comparison
Nominal length Original lamp family
Dimension drawing Same measuring surfaces
Cap and holder Engagement and retention
Use matching drawings to establish fit rather than choosing the closest number.

Only a documented and suitable conversion system could justify that change. An improvised extension may alter mechanical support and electrical spacing. It also changes the light distribution within the fitting. Compare a properly engineered conversion with complete fixture replacement rather than assembling loose parts to bridge the missing length.

Use the published platform data as a starting point, then obtain the selected version's ratings. A proportional estimate from another length is insufficient: driver loading, temperature and optical losses can differ. The actual configuration must support the illumination requirement you plan to achieve.

Consider a new fixture when holders or wiring are damaged, protection is inadequate, or a special lamp creates disproportionate maintenance complexity. Compare installed cost and future replacement availability. Retaining the housing is worthwhile only if the completed system remains suitable.

These functions need a separately specified system and supporting evidence. Lamp length does not establish dimming or emergency compatibility. Include either function in the initial project brief so the whole requirement can be assessed before the mechanical design is settled.
