Commercial linear replacement

Choose a 4ft LED tube that matches the complete fixture

Identify the existing lamp and fixture so VST can help you select a 4ft LED tube with the appropriate dimensions and electrical configuration for the actual installation.
  • T8 and T5 options kept separate for fit
  • Published 18W and 22W model choices
  • Clear or frosted PC cover options
  • Samples to check the actual holder and light appearance

Product selection

Identify the lamp before planning the replacement

A lamp code and photographs of both ends are useful first steps. Include the fixture label if you want to retain its existing electrical equipment.
VST is a 4ft LED tube supplier with published T8 and T5 models in the nominal 1200mm range. Their body dimensions and bases differ, so the replacement starts with the actual fixture. Look at the tube, the holders and the power arrangement together. After that, choose the light color and cover that suit the task. This avoids ordering a familiar-looking lamp that cannot fit or operate as expected.
✓

The complete length measurement

Record how the old lamp was measured and photograph its end structure. Nominal length, body length and pin-to-pin length should not be treated as one dimension.

✓

The existing electrical equipment

Keep the ballast or driver label readable in your photographs. It helps establish whether that equipment can remain or whether the proposed conversion changes the circuit.

✓

The condition of the housing

A replacement lamp will still depend on the retained fixture. Damaged holders, brittle wiring or poor mechanical support may change the scope of the work.

Working with VST

Practical preparation for a repeat replacement

As a 4ft LED tube manufacturer, VST can help resolve the lamp configuration and receiving details before a small sample becomes a larger order.
✓

Separate the tube families

VST can identify the T5 and T8 candidates against their published drawings. Keeping the family and base in the quotation makes similar-looking replacement requests easier to distinguish.

✓

A sample in the real fixture

Use a sample to assess seating, cover appearance and the lighting result in a representative fixture. The model selected for a larger order should follow that agreed configuration.

✓

Configuration-specific measurement

VST has integrating-sphere and aging-test capabilities. Ask which product data or checks apply to the chosen tube rather than treating a general factory capability as a test result for every order.

✓

Protection at the tube ends

Export packing can account for long products and vulnerable end structures. Agree the carton quantity and labeling so handling and receiving checks follow the actual supplied tube.

✓

Repeat-order identification

VST can retain the agreed model, light color and cover details in the order specification. Clear identification is useful when one building uses several visually similar tube configurations.

Product construction

Nominal length and physical fit

A 4ft LED tube is not one universal lamp
T5 and T8 describe different tube families. A shared nominal length does not make their body dimensions, pin spacing or fixture interfaces interchangeable.

Product configurations

4ft LED tube lights: nominal 1200mm choices

Compare the three nominal 1200mm models below. VST, a 4ft LED tube OEM supplier, can discuss cover, light-color and labeling requirements for your chosen model.

Configuration checks

Tube configuration checkpoints

Keep the lamp choice distinct from the retained fixture.

Defined supply range

The listed models specify AC85-265V at 50/60Hz. That supply range does not establish compatibility with an unidentified ballast or emergency circuit.

Cover selection

Clear and frosted PC options change source visibility and appearance. Test the selected cover within the fixture’s own reflector or enclosure.

Internal current control

The published construction uses an internal constant-current driver. Its complete electrical configuration should be identified with the lamp supplied for the order.

Sample support

VST can provide samples before bulk supply. Testing one representative fixture helps resolve a fit question before it is repeated across the site.

Parts of the tube construction

The source, body and base affect different replacement decisions.

Component detail

The LED light source

The LED source determines the tube’s light-color and color-rendering options. Compare the requested CCT and CRI with the selected lamp’s documented values, then inspect the sample with the objects it will illuminate. Source construction can differ between tube configurations, so a light-source detail should not be used to infer an unlisted LED count, package type or identical internal layout across the whole range.

Component detail

The aluminium body

The aluminium part of the published aluminium-and-PC construction supports the long lamp assembly and forms part of its heat path. A straight housing matters when the lamp must seat correctly at both ends. Check the complete tube within the retained fitting, including any close enclosure. The suitability of a thermally restricted fixture depends on the selected lamp and its operating conditions.

Component detail

The bi-pin end cap

The end cap positions the pins and forms the mechanical interface with the lampholder. G5 and G13 are different base choices, and a tube’s nominal length does not identify which one is present. Inspect pin condition and holder engagement during the sample fit. Do not use a matching-looking cap as evidence of the lamp’s input-end wiring or ballast compatibility.

Video introduction

VST and customer cooperation

Introductions to the supply relationship.

Meet the tube supply partner

The VST company introduction is a starting point for evaluating the relationship behind a replacement order. Use the lamp identification, sample requirements and shipment scope from your project for the technical discussion; the video is not a compatibility record for the fixture you retain.

Cooperation from a customer’s view

This customer introduction adds context about working with VST. Your replacement program will still need clear product codes, a sample decision and receiving responsibilities. Keep those practical arrangements in the order discussion instead of assuming another customer’s experience establishes your tube specification.

Applications

Replacement tasks for 4ft tubes

Match the lamp to the retained fixture and the work below it.
White tubular ceiling light fixture running along the ceiling in a bright minimalist office, with binders on a shelf and a potted plant nearby

Ceiling luminaire refurbishment

Existing linear ceiling luminaires can provide a replacement route in occupied commercial rooms when the housing remains suitable. Identify the holders, retained ballast and existing diffuser before selecting the lamp. VST can help match a tube candidate and prepare a sample for a representative fixture before the work is repeated.

Retail shelf aisles

Linear fixtures above retail aisles need useful light on merchandise and shelf labels, with an appearance suited to the products. Check fixture spacing, color-rendering needs and reflections from packaging. VST can compare the documented light-color and cover options and supply a sample for assessment in the aisle.
Workbench in a workshop with a pegboard holding screwdrivers, pliers, and wrenches, a fluorescent light overhead.

Local assembly benches

A tube in a properly supported overhead fixture can illuminate small assembly or inspection tasks. Confirm mounting height, shadows from the operator and the condition of the existing electrical equipment. VST can discuss the suitable lamp configuration and provide product data for checking the proposed local lighting arrangement.

Archive and records rooms

Archive shelving needs legible labels without placing a fragile lamp where stored items can strike it. Check the fitting’s protective enclosure, access route and spacing between shelves. VST can help identify the replacement tube and packing configuration, with a sample to assess the light within that enclosure.

Teaching rooms

Classroom replacement work must consider desks, teaching surfaces and projected presentations in the same room. Establish the retained fixture type, required light color and how switching divides the room. VST can prepare the selected tube sample and support product-data comparison before the lighting schedule is extended to other rooms.

Your next step

Send the lamp code and two end photographs

Start with the current lamp marking, holder photographs and approximate quantity. VST can identify the remaining fit and electrical questions for your 4ft LED tube and propose a sample route. As your 4ft LED tube supplier, we can keep the chosen configuration clear in the quotation.

Tube customization can include CCT, cover, end-cap structure, labeling and packing. State the electrical configuration separately. If one 4ft LED tube order serves several fixture types, identify those types before agreeing its preparation. Structural or driver changes require engineering discussion and may need a revised sample.
VST’s 4ft LED tube factory work includes the applicable source assembly, housing assembly and electrical inspection. Product identity follows the tube through labeling and packing. Discuss optical and aging checks against the order requirements; the larger batch should retain the base, cover and driver version specified for the accepted sample.
A qualified electrician must identify and isolate the circuit before work. Follow the selected tube’s wiring instructions and lampholder requirements. Support both ends and replace damaged fixture parts. Never energize a partially inserted tube, mix wiring assumptions between lamp types or treat an unmarked replacement as universally compatible.

Ordering and cooperation

Tube order questions

Sampling and commercial preparation before supply.
01

VST is a China-based lighting manufacturer. For a tube supply discussion, ask for the company information and product documents relevant to your order. Certification availability and supporting reports need to be checked for the specific configuration and destination.
02

A general starting point for this type of lower-value lamp is 100 pieces. State the quantity for each model and light-color version, since a total spread across different configurations may need a different quotation basis. Sampling can be discussed separately.
03

They may be credited against a later bulk order by agreement. Establish that arrangement when requesting the sample, together with its model and preparation requirements. Do not assume that a trial lamp is free or that every sample charge is automatically refunded.
04

Regular products typically require 2-3 weeks of production. Light customization generally takes 3-4 weeks, while extensive changes may take 4-6 weeks. These ranges exclude transport and depend on the actual order, materials and confirmed preparation; they are not a fixed arrival date.
05

Yes, private labeling and custom packaging are supported. Provide the required content and model-identification rules early enough to check them before packing. Additional preparation or extensive customization may have setup or tooling costs, which belong in the agreed quotation.
06

Send a short description and photographs or video showing the affected VST product and issue. VST can discuss replacement support, sent separately or with a later shipment. The response depends on the issue; this does not promise automatic refunds or cover unrelated installation damage.

Product questions

Questions before a tube replacement

Use these questions to resolve the remaining replacement decisions for your 4ft LED tube. They distinguish what a fixture photograph can establish from the electrical and project-specific checks still needed before the sample or order is specified.

Information available What it establishes
Tube name only Insufficient evidence of ballast compatibility
Ballast model and lamp count A specific combination to check
Selected tube’s compatibility documentation The supported operating arrangement

They can only be treated as separate, clearly identified configurations if both are available for the project. The receiving and installation teams must be able to distinguish them. Mechanical support at both ends remains necessary, but it does not reveal how a particular lamp is electrically powered.

No. Compare the selected lamp’s output, distribution and behavior in the existing fixture with the lighting task. Reflectors, diffusers and dirt can change the delivered result. An 18W or 22W model name is not a universal equivalence claim for a fluorescent lamp of another power.

That requires evidence for the complete emergency arrangement. An existing emergency ballast, battery pack or centralized supply may impose requirements that a regular mains-operated tube does not meet. Provide the equipment identification and project requirement so the appropriate configuration can be investigated before ordering.

Assess the appearance in a representative row of fittings first. Nominal CCT alone does not guarantee an identical look to older lamps, especially across different covers or aging histories. Keep the required tube configuration documented and decide whether partial replacement gives an acceptable result for that area.
