1200mm retrofit platform

4ft LED tri-proof light matched to your installation

Check the mounting space before choosing a 4ft LED tri-proof light for your retrofit.
  • Use the actual 1200mm body dimensions to check fit.
  • Compare the standard 40W version with lower-power options available on request.
  • Discuss surface, wall or suspended installation against your supports.
  • VST can help identify necessary installation changes and separate them from optional product choices.

Replacement scope

Replace the whole fitting or just the lamp?

Decide which parts of the existing installation will stay. That determines whether you need a complete enclosed luminaire or a replacement lamp.
This 4ft LED tri-proof light is an integrated luminaire: the light source, driver and enclosure come as one assembly. It does not fit into an existing fluorescent lamp holder. The 1.2m LED triproof light range suits positions with room for a 1200mm body. VST, your 4ft LED tri-proof light supplier, can help specify the fitting. Your installation team determines the changes to the existing circuit and supports.
✓

Mounting envelope

Measure usable length and surrounding obstructions as well as the old fixture. Retaining the same nominal format does not guarantee a direct mechanical replacement.

✓

Complete electrical assembly

Record the incoming supply and select the integrated mains luminaire as a complete unit. Existing lamp holders and ballast wiring are not its connection interface.

✓

Consistent appearance

Where several rooms connect, choose the visible light color and cover appearance together. Unplanned differences can be noticeable even when each room meets its lighting target.

✓

Configuration quantities

List a separate quantity for each power or voltage option. Small sub-orders may need different components and carton identification even when they share an enclosure.

Retrofit engineering

Check the fitting against the existing site

As a 4ft LED tri-proof light manufacturer, VST can work through the mechanical and electrical requirements together, using the conditions at your site.
✓

Practical drawing discussion

Send photographs of the existing supports with the relevant measurements. Our structural engineers can identify any mounting details that need a drawing before installation begins.

✓

Matched light calculations

VST can compare fixture positions in DIALux using your room dimensions. This helps when you retain the existing layout but the new fitting distributes light differently.

✓

Color measurement capability

Integrating-sphere measurements can check output and color. Request results for the version you intend to install so they can be compared with your retrofit specification.

✓

Clear project communication

Our technical and sales teams can put the agreed requirements into one product brief, keeping drawings, sample requests and purchase-order details consistent.

Nominal and actual size

What does a 4ft LED tri-proof light mean?

Four-foot describes a common commercial lighting format. It does not specify the exact length, bracket pitch or electrical connection of every enclosed fitting in that category.
VSTโ€™s 1.2m LED triproof light has a 1200mm body. Four feet is 1219.2mm, so use the model drawing for installation rather than treating those sizes as equal. The standard rating is 40W; 20W and 30W versions are available on request. These are power choices for the same body envelope, with separate output data required for each. They are not specified as settings on an on-site wattage selector.

Power configurations

Three routes within the 1200mm body

The VST 4ft LED tri-proof light factory offers these power choices within the same enclosure family. The exterior images are the same because power selection does not create a visible housing difference.

Standard 1200mm 40W

The published VST-STF-120-40W delivers 5,200 lm. Start here for general-purpose warehouse and commercial spaces that need the standard output.

Rollout details

Plan a replacement across several rooms

Clear labels and suitable packing help when fittings are distributed across a building.

Fit evaluation

Let your installation team examine cable entry and access on a sample before scheduling replacement work in occupied rooms.

Room schedule labels

Private labels can link each fitting to the room schedule. Similar housings may contain different versions, so the label helps installers tell them apart.

Protected covers

Export cartons can include internal support around the fitting, helping keep the optical cover separate from loose items during transport and unpacking.

Phased cargo coordination

VST can arrange consolidated transport with other supplied goods. Include the lighting cartons in your site-delivery plan and agree the packing responsibilities.

Construction details

Three parts to examine in a retrofit

Check the light source, mounting profile and cover as well as the overall length.

LED package

Light color begins at the LED

The standard 1200mm fitting uses SMD 2835 emitters. When adjoining rooms are visible together, color consistency can matter as much as nominal color temperature. Decide the appearance you need before choosing a sample, then evaluate the complete fitting. The package image explains the light-source type; an LED close-up cannot demonstrate color uniformity across the installed luminaires.

Housing

Mounting the PC body

The housing must fit between ceiling services and obstructions, with enough room to reach its fixings. Near a beam or pipe run, width and depth may be as important as length. Measure the available space around the entire body. Existing holes can help locate the proposed position, but their location alone does not make them suitable supports for the new fitting.

Diffuser

Viewing the cover at low height

An opal cover reduces the visibility of individual light sources; the transparent option looks different. Compare the chosen finish from doorways and workstations where the fitting will be in view. This visual check helps you choose the surface appearance, but does not establish a glare rating. If the project specifies visual-comfort requirements, use the relevant photometric data to assess them.

Company introduction

The company introduction gives you a starting point for discussing the rollout. Ask how VSTโ€™s technical and commercial teams will handle your room schedule and product options using the same specification.

Customer cooperation perspective

Hear a customer perspective on working with VST. Before a multi-location order is dispatched, agree who answers product questions and how specification changes will reach your installation team.

Installation scenarios

Choose a 4ft LED tri-proof light by location

The same body length can serve several tasks when the power and installation requirements are selected appropriately.

Commercial back rooms

Commercial back rooms need general visibility for receiving goods, reading labels and moving stock through restricted spaces. Establish the shelf height, ceiling services and frequency of access before selecting the lighting level. VST can help compare the published power configurations and choose an optical arrangement suited to the roomโ€™s actual working areas.

Enclosed parking bays

In enclosed parking bays, fittings often sit between beams and pipe runs close to vehicles. Check the available clearance, likely impact exposure and visibility from approaching drivers, with particular attention to columns. VST can discuss the 1200mm enclosure fit and use distribution data to support a practical positioning plan.

Workshop circulation

Workshop circulation routes need to remain visible around workstations without being mistaken for dedicated machine-task lighting. Identify overhead obstructions, airborne contamination and the route separating people from moving equipment. VST can examine the enclosure requirements and proposed layout, leaving specialist task-lighting needs to a separately defined specification where required.

Shared laundry support areas

Laundry support spaces can involve humidity and frequent cleaning around sorting or equipment access. Record cleaning methods, actual room temperature and cable-entry conditions before selecting the fittingโ€™s protection configuration. VST can help compare the enclosure options and discuss the materials information needed to judge exposure to the cleaning products used.

Sheltered service passages

A sheltered service passage often has a fixed sequence of existing mounting positions beside doors and building services. Establish the usable body envelope, local moisture exposure and the required visibility at changes in level. VST can work from photographs and measurements to identify a fitting configuration and any mounting details needing closer attention.

Supply questions

Organize a 1200mm replacement order

Agree the product choices and commercial terms for the replacement order.
01

Yes. VST-STF-120-40W lists 96 pieces. A split across requested powers, input voltages or special packaging needs its own quotation; the standard minimum does not automatically apply to every combination.
02

Request a sample of the version you intend to install. Samples are chargeable unless agreed otherwise. A credit against a later bulk order is also subject to agreement; the sample charge is not automatically refunded.
03

Allow for production and transport separately. The general production ranges are 2โ€“3 weeks for regular goods, roughly 3โ€“4 weeks for light changes and approximately 4โ€“6 weeks for extensive customization, subject to the actual order schedule.
04

Yes, private labels and custom cartons are supported. Provide the artwork and identification requirements with the configuration list. More substantial structural development can involve tooling charges, which need separate agreement.
05

For samples, PayPal, Western Union and bank transfer are supported with 100% advance payment. Bulk orders normally require a 30% bank-transfer deposit, followed by the 70% balance before shipping.

Fit and configuration

Questions before selecting a 4ft LED tri-proof light

Your 4ft LED tri-proof light may need different supports or wiring even if its length looks familiar. Check these interfaces before scheduling the changeover, especially when keeping existing positions or ordering different power versions for the same building.

Possibly, if the new mounting arrangement and the substrate are suitable. Compare the fixing drawing with the existing holes, inspect their condition and check for services behind the surface. Matching nominal length does not demonstrate that old anchors can safely carry the new assembly.

The listing describes requested configurations, not an adjustable selector. Order the intended version and obtain its own output information.
Project situation Ordering route
Fixed requirement Specify the selected wattage in the order
Several room types List each configuration and quantity
Future adjustment Ask whether a separately defined adjustable design is feasible

Only if an appropriately specified emergency solution is provided. A standard fitting or sensor option does not establish emergency operation, duration or local approval. Identify the emergency requirement separately before deciding what can replace the existing installation.

Not necessarily. Existing covers can have aged, discolored or accumulated dirt, and optical materials differ between products. Compare an actual sample in the room at the intended viewing angles. For a continuous visible area, plan whether the whole group should be replaced together.

The published standard is non-dimmable. A sensor option does not mean compatibility with a wall dimmer or control bus. Identify the existing device and desired behavior before requesting a different driver or control arrangement.
