Distance and distribution

Choose the light for the surface it must reach

A 40W LED track light can be considered for larger feature displays, but the power label alone does not set a usable mounting height. Evaluate the target surface and the available aiming positions.
For a replacement, start with the lighting needed at the merchandise. The old and new heads may differ in beam, output or installation position, even if their wattages match. As your 40W LED track light supplier, VST can assess the options using the layout and available photometric data. For new installations, identify viewing directions and large reflective surfaces before fixing the electrical layout, so the proposed track positions can be checked.
✓

Identify the target plane

State whether the important surface is vertical, horizontal or inclined. This determines what a lighting calculation needs to evaluate at the display.

✓

Keep the replacement measurable

Record the existing head and the lighting result you need. Assess a replacement against that requirement, since matching wattage alone does not establish equivalent performance.

✓

Check the overhead space

Allow for the full fixture length, aiming movement and access for installation. Nearby ducts, signs or ceiling details can constrain usable positions.

Project assessment

Get the data to assess your showroom lighting

As a 40W LED track light manufacturer, VST can help evaluate the proposed optic in your layout and identify the product data you need.
✓

Photometric support

VST's dark room supports beam-distribution testing. Request the photometric file for the selected optic so the layout calculation uses the relevant data.

✓

Mechanical selection

The fixed and zoom models differ in length. VST can provide the relevant dimensions so you can check clearance at the planned track position.

✓

Configuration control

Use a replacement sample to evaluate output and the selected control option. Keep those details with the order to guide later substitutions.

✓

Practical freight planning

Discuss the packing and shipment plan with VST. Give the destination and delivery arrangements so the quotation covers the services you need.

Output and reach

What makes a 40W LED track light suitable?

Suitability comes from the interaction of fixture output, beam distribution and distance to the target. A wider beam covers more area, while a narrower beam concentrates the available light.
The SR05 and SR09 have the same nominal power but different published flux. Fixed optics suit established display layouts; zoom lets you adjust coverage later. Final illuminance and uniformity depend on the installation, so use the chosen head's photometric data and actual mounting geometry to assess them. Include normal viewing positions across the room. A head aimed at the target can also expose its bright source to someone looking toward it.

Project details

Specify the finish and installation environment

Record the finish and installation conditions with the heads on your order.

Optical range

Four selected beam angles are listed for SR05. SR09 provides continuous zoom across its published range for changing display widths.

Surface appearance

Housing and reflector finishes can be selected independently. Evaluate their appearance from the occupied showroom floor before settling the visible combination.

IP20 application

These heads belong in appropriate indoor conditions. Their published rating does not support exposure to rain or water used during cleaning.

Packing identification

As a 40W LED track light OEM supplier, VST can supply agreed labels that identify each version during delivery and installation.

Physical details

Components to evaluate at a larger display distance

Check the source, adjustable optic and housing for the requirements each affects.

Light-producing element

COB source

The COB source produces the light directed onto the display by the optic. Its color characteristics affect large areas of fabric, stone, paint or wood. Compare the chosen source option with the actual material when its appearance matters. Record the selected CRI on the order. Even the highest available CRI does not replace a sample check of how those particular materials look under the proposed light.

Beam adjustment

SR09 zoom optic

The front optic adjusts coverage within the listed zoom range. At a longer distance, a small change in spread can affect a large area. Check both the center and the edges of the display, then record the accepted aiming position. Keep the zoom setting with the model details for future replacements, since it determines how the light is distributed across the objects being presented.

Fixture structure

SR05 housing

The cylindrical housing encloses the light source and optic. Check its length and diameter where ceiling features may restrict placement or the head needs to aim across the room. Leave space around it and follow the installation instructions for the operating environment. Keep decorative fabric and improvised covers clear of the fixture. A product drawing and physical sample can help check clearance before you install the full run.

Applications

Larger feature applications

Evaluate larger displays by surface, viewing direction and mounting geometry.

Automotive showrooms

Automotive showrooms use directional accents to describe vehicle form across glossy curved surfaces. Check reflected views in bodywork and glazing, the distance from the rail and the contrast with surrounding light. VST can support optical selection and identify the photometric information needed to assess the proposed feature zone.

Tall retail displays

Tall retail displays need attention across a vertical arrangement rather than only at the top shelf. Establish the display height, the track offset and the objects that must remain visible. VST can help evaluate beam distribution and prepare a configuration for a trial on a representative full-height display.

Furniture halls

Furniture halls often place large dining or living groups beneath open ceiling areas. Define the group boundary, surface reflectance and the separation from adjacent displays. VST can assist with a lighting calculation using suitable model data and suggest an optical build for evaluating the intended area without excessive spill.

Entrance atriums

An indoor entrance atrium may need a track accent on a prominent architectural surface. Check available mounting positions, daylight variation and whether the fitting can be reached for aiming and maintenance. VST can examine the proposed product envelope and optical requirements before the head is added to the electrical schedule.

Material showrooms

Material showrooms compare wood, stone and other finishes across tall sample panels. Check the viewing position, gloss and whether color comparison is a formal requirement for the presentation. VST can help select a source option and arrange a sample so the materials are evaluated under the intended lighting conditions.

Commercial questions for the showroom order

Identify the terms that apply to the proposed supply.
01

VST-TL-40W-SR05 and VST-TL-40W-SR09 each have a published MOQ of 100 pieces. Use that model-specific quantity as the starting point for the order. Any different requirement arising from your chosen configuration or custom scope should be stated in the quotation.
02

For replacement work, your 40W LED track light supplier can quote a sample tied to the proposed installation. VST will state its configuration and charge. If sample cost is to be credited toward the later order, agree the conditions before proceeding.
03

The published bulk-order estimate is 15 to 25 days, while samples are listed at 7 days. The quotation establishes the schedule for your quantity and scope. Transport is additional, and a custom development should have its own timeline rather than inheriting the standard-model estimate.
04

VST can discuss shipping costs and shipment coordination in addition to the product price. Provide the destination and delivery requirements, and check what the quoted transport scope includes. Local costs and responsibilities should be identified through the agreed trade terms.
05

Both models list a minimum 3-year warranty. Ask for the written conditions for the supplied version. For a quality issue, send a short explanation with photos or video, then discuss replacement arrangements with VST.
06

A bulk order normally starts with a 30% bank-transfer deposit and requires the other 70% before shipment. Samples are paid in full beforehand by PayPal, Western Union or bank transfer. The order documents should match the agreed configuration and commercial scope.

Showroom questions

Check the remaining 40W LED track light decisions

At longer display distances, the optical data needs to match the head and target surface. The questions below cover the remaining choices after you have considered the model, clearance and intended application.

Start with the actual geometry and a matching photometric file.
Input Use in the assessment
Track and target positions Distance and aiming
Target size and orientation Calculation area
Selected optic data Distribution and output
Project lighting criteria Acceptance basis

There is no single height that can be established from 40W alone. The required result, optic, tilt and room conditions all affect suitability. For your 40W LED track light layout, evaluate the actual target plane rather than adopting a height from a different installation.

A one-for-one replacement needs comparison of the original and proposed lighting performance, rail connection and control build. The same wattage can produce a different result. If original data is unavailable, evaluate a sample at a representative position and judge it against the project's stated requirements.

A narrow beam concentrates light and can create stronger differences between its center and the surrounding area. Uniformity depends on the distribution, spacing and overlap of the installed heads. Set the target requirement first and use the layout calculation or sample trial to examine the complete area.
