200W LED Flood Light for Active Loading Areas

Put your 200W LED flood light to work where loading activity actually happens.
  • FL20-200W published output of 30,000 lumens.
  • Different distributions for aprons and directional tasks.
  • DALI or DMX512 options for a specified control system.
  • Configuration support around doors, vehicles and obstructions.

Logistics lighting

Plan the 200W Flood Light Around the Trailer

A parked trailer can leave the loading position in shadow even when the empty apron looks well lit. Base the lighting brief on how the dock is used.
When choosing a 200W LED flood light, follow the vehicle through its approach, reversing, loading and departure. Record trailer heights and canopy edges, and mark where staff cross the lane. Fixture position and beam need to work together to reduce shadows at the task. VST can discuss the available mounting locations before you commission a full layout. For installation in stages, plan the lighting zones so work on one dock group leaves adjacent operating routes with their intended illumination.
✓

Moving obstructions

Show typical trailer and vehicle positions in the layout. The useful light at the dock changes when a large vehicle occupies the apron.

✓

Independent working zones

Identify docks that operate on different schedules. A control plan can then distinguish an active loading group from a quieter circulation area.

✓

Vertical visibility

Ground illumination alone may not explain visibility at a trailer door or loading interface. Describe which vertical surfaces and objects need to be recognized.

✓

Installation windows

Identify when lifting equipment can reach the fixtures and power can be isolated. Use those access periods and safe work boundaries to plan installation.

Engineering coordination

Specify the light for the way your dock operates

As a 200W LED flood light manufacturer, VST has electrical, structural and lighting engineers available to help define the required version.
✓

Photometric planning

A DIALux study can check the proposed fixture positions and beams. Include the loading geometry so the calculation represents the apron in use.

✓

Control clarification

Our technical team can discuss the requested driver interface before the quotation is finalized. This helps separate fixture options from the external control equipment needed on site.

✓

Sample evaluation

You can examine the proposed fixture before approving the wider dock project. Integrating-sphere capability supports optical checks, while thermal and aging work addresses operation of the selected build.

✓

Inspection stages

VST carries out incoming, in-process, final and outgoing quality checks. The order documents specify which fixture build those checks must follow through production.

✓

Shipment coordination

Discuss carton labels and shipment planning when dividing an order between facilities or installation phases. Each destination can then be matched with the correct fixture version.

Power and distribution

A 200W platform needs a task-specific light pattern

A 200W LED flood light specifies a power category. Mounting height and the number of loading bays served depend on the lighting plan.
Optics and mounting position let the same nominal power serve different tasks on a dock apron. A directional beam may suit a longer working distance; a broader one may suit a wider surface closer to the fixture. Check both for glare toward an approaching cab and shadows behind parked equipment before deciding on spacing. The FL20-200W gives you a documented fixture to evaluate, but the site still needs its own lighting plan. Use the photometric file for the selected version in that calculation.

Distribution choices

200 Watt Flood Light Optical Configurations

As a 200W LED flood light supplier, VST can quote either of the two published optical constructions.

Practical details

A fixture intended for exterior working areas

Select the optical, enclosure and handling details as separate decisions.

Configurable distribution

PC lenses and a glass-cover optical route are listed for this platform. The choice changes the proposed light distribution without requiring a different power class.

Rear cooling surface

Fins on the aluminum back increase the exposed cooling surface. Leave room for airflow when fitting the fixture near a canopy or another panel.

Published ingress rating

IP65 protection is specified for the luminaire enclosure. Dockside junctions and cables need their own suitable protection for the exposure at that location.

Shipment identification

As a 200W LED flood light OEM supplier, VST supports custom package labels so different dock groups can be identified during receipt.

How the fixture works

Check what each component does

The light source, cooling body and bracket each affect a different part of the installation.

Light generation

SMD3030 light source

This model lists SMD3030 LEDs as its light source. Light color and color rendering matter when staff need to distinguish objects at the dock. Choose the optional rendering level explicitly if the task requires it; it is not included on every unit. Assess the complete fixture's optical data for the chosen build, since an LED designation alone cannot describe the light reaching a vertical dock surface.

Heat path

Aluminum rear body

The rear aluminum body transfers heat to the surrounding air. A tight recess under a dock canopy can restrict that airflow. Leave the fins clear and check where dirt might collect once the fixture is aimed. Include the actual ambient conditions in the project brief. The published temperature range does not permit mounting against a heat source or inside an enclosure without ventilation.

Mounting geometry

Adjustable support bracket

The bracket holds the fixture at its selected angle while transferring its load to the supporting structure. At a loading dock, check access to the pivot fasteners after the canopy and service pipes are considered. Cable routing should allow adjustment without tension. The support and anchors must suit the local substrate and loads; neither the yoke photograph nor the fixture wattage determines the correct fixing hardware.

Working with VST

Company and Customer Videos

Meet VST and hear about working with the team.

A view of VST's company context

The company video introduces VST ahead of your dock-lighting discussion. Bring product questions into the quotation process, where the control interface and site photometry can be addressed. Those technical details still need to be documented for your project.

Customer experience of working together

This customer video describes cooperation with VST. It can help you consider the working relationship, while the loading project needs its own fixture specification and installation documents. The feedback does not demonstrate the operation of this particular 200W luminaire.

Application planning

Lighting around active logistics operations

Give 200W LED flood lights a defined role in each operating area.

Loading dock aprons

Consider a 200W LED flood light for an apron shared by reversing trailers and loading activity. Check canopy depth, trailer positions and which vertical working surfaces remain in shadow. VST can assess the layout and optical choice against this dock geometry, with floor area as only one of the inputs.

Truck maneuvering courts

A truck court needs clear views of turning paths and obstacles across the paved area. Mark the entry directions, parking positions and sightlines from elevated cabs, including where drivers would look directly into a fixture. Our lighting team can compare the available mounting points and propose a distribution for vehicle movement.

Outdoor dispatch sorting

Outdoor dispatch sorting needs light on pallets and package faces as well as the working surface. Describe how goods are handled, any need to recognize colors and shelters that affect clearance or ambient conditions. VST can discuss the light source options and supply a sample for assessment at the sorting position.

Equipment wash-down approaches

The approach to an equipment wash needs visible access paths, with the fixture kept outside direct cleaning jets. Identify the spray exposure and cleaning chemicals, and show where the wet process ends and the lane begins. VST can assess that location and the enclosure requirements before recommending a version to suit it.

Rail depot service lanes

A depot service lane combines stationary equipment with changing access routes beside the vehicles. Establish safe mounting locations, obstructions and sightlines relevant to the maintenance task and adjacent operations. We can provide fixture dimensions and optical information for the site's lighting and electrical teams to evaluate, without implying railway-specific approval.

Dock project inquiry

Choose the control interface, CCT, finish and labeling for the project. As your 200W LED flood light OEM supplier, VST separates published options from changes that require engineering work in the quotation. Custom cable or bracket requests need clear electrical and mechanical requirements.
The selected optic and driver are identified for assembly, followed by the required inspections and tests. Keep zone identifiers on the packing for a phased dock order so each installation group receives its specified version.
Arrange safe access and circuit isolation before work begins. Check structural support, supply voltage and control wiring; secure the bracket and protected electrical connection. Aim the fixture with trailer positions considered, then assess the working area under representative operating conditions.

Product questions

Questions before connecting the dock system

Check how your 200W LED flood light will connect to the site's existing electrical and operating systems before ordering. A quotation that lists only power and beam leaves several questions open, including the supply voltage, control interface and switching equipment.

Yes. Explain the operation, approximate dimensions and mounting positions first. A required illuminance schedule becomes necessary for a defensible final calculation, but it need not prevent the first product discussion. Separate the tasks at the trailer door, circulation lane and pedestrian crossing when describing the area.

Follow the control architecture already specified for the project.
DALI option Check the lighting controller and addressing plan
DMX512 option Check channels, signal distribution and termination
Neither interface should be connected to an assumed wiring scheme; select the driver and commissioning requirements together.

The listed input range is AC 100 to 277V. Do not connect this configuration directly to 400V. Have the site's electrician establish the available line-to-neutral or other suitable supply, and raise a different voltage requirement before a product is selected.

Do not interpret IP65 as approval for direct high-pressure cleaning or chemical exposure. The actual cleaning method needs a separate assessment, including the connection and cable entry. Mounting outside the direct spray path may be appropriate, but suitability depends on the environment and cleaning process.

The answer depends on the selected driver and switching equipment, rather than total rated watts alone. Obtain inrush and relevant driver data for the chosen build, then have the electrician check contactor and protective-device ratings. Operating current is only one part of this assessment.
