Low-voltage COB light

12V COB LED strip for linear details viewed up close

Fit a continuous light line into a compact low-voltage detail. VST is a 12V COB LED strip supplier with models you can compare in your profile.

  • Select the actual 12V version of a 12V/24V model.
  • Check PCB width and cut positions against the channel.
  • See the light line through the cover you will use.
  • Ask about prepared leads and samples for repeated assemblies.

Compact continuous light

Check the circuit and channel fit together

Shallow displays and tight furniture recesses bring the light source close to the viewer. The strip needs to fit the channel and produce the line you expect through its cover.
A 12V COB LED strip places closely spaced sources under a continuous emitting layer. This can reduce visible points, while the cover and channel depth still affect the installed result. VST is a 12V COB LED strip supplier with 14 listed models that include a 12V version. They cover fixed color, RGB, CCT and digital control. Compare the family tables before selecting the supply and controller. Multi-voltage listings need a cutting drawing for the chosen electrical version.
✓

Actual 12V version

Check the specification for the exact 12V version. A listing with two voltage options describes different circuits.

✓

Cutting fit

Map the cutting interval onto your corners and connection positions. This shows which lengths will fit the finished channel.

✓

Surface contact

Choose a suitable mounting surface that keeps the strip flat and allows heat to leave the circuit.

Visual sample

Look at a lit sample through the final diffuser from the intended viewing position before approving the appearance.

Voltage and form

What the 12V circuit and COB construction change

12V specifies the input circuit. COB describes how the light source is built. Check both when choosing a strip.
A 12V COB LED strip needs a matched 12V supply, with feeds planned for its load and installed length. C320W0808 and C528W1308 both use an 8 mm PCB, but the published values differ: 8 W/m and 800 lm/m versus 13 W/m and 1300 lm/m. Their cutting entries are 50 mm and Cut Anywhere. Both list 3000K / 4000K / 6500K and CRI 80/92. Obtain the selected voltage version's cutting drawing before preparing production lengths.

Selection factors

Checks for a compact COB installation

Test the light line through the cover, then check the circuit and protected construction separately.

COB emitting line

The continuous emitting surface can suit details viewed up close. A sample through the diffuser shows the finished effect.

12V circuit match

Match the exact 12V version to its supply. You cannot identify circuit voltage from the light line's appearance.

Protection choice

Selected 12V COB models list protection options. The rating needs to match the finished construction you order.

Profile sampling

Share the profile and lead route when requesting a sample, so the test reflects your repeated assembly.

Construction

Inside the COB strip

Our low-voltage COB strip factory can help check the selected construction's PCB width and cut positions against your channel.

Primary light source

COB LED line

Closely spaced sources beneath a continuous layer make the COB light line useful in details viewed up close, including shallow furniture recesses. The cover and viewing distance still affect its appearance. Mount a sample of the actual 12V version in your profile so you can see the line under the conditions of the finished installation.

Protective surface

Encapsulated emitting layer

The encapsulated layer covers the sources and forms the visible line. Its shape and finish affect the light seen through a clear or diffused channel. A cover can soften the appearance and change perceived brightness. With a 12V COB LED strip, inspect the selected model in the intended mounting direction before choosing the cover.

Circuit carrier

Flexible PCB

The flexible PCB sets the strip's width and cutting pattern. Its marked pads determine where you can prepare a section while retaining the complete circuit. In a compact cabinet, the position of a cut can govern the fit at a corner. Compare the model's interval with the joinery layout before fixing wire exits and lead positions.

Customer perspective

The customer clip gives a general view of cooperation with VST. A cabinet or shelf sample will show the light line under your own installation conditions.

Fit by application

Continuous light in compact assemblies

As a 12V COB LED strip OEM supplier, VST can help compare the selected strip with a furniture or display drawing. The applications below have different visibility and access needs.

Kitchen cabinets

A 12V COB line beneath a cabinet can light the counter while the front edge hides the profile. Check channel depth, supply position and the line seen from standing height. VST can help choose a listed 12V model and lead direction, with a sample to test in the cabinet.

Display shelves

A retail shelf can use continuous light to keep labels readable without obvious LED points. Check shelf width, reflected light from merchandise and access to replace a section. VST can help compare a model's COB output and PCB fit, then discuss a short sample for the finished shelf assembly.

Hotel headboards

A headboard cove needs soft indirect light and access that leaves the joinery intact. Check the white tone, dimming system and path for heat through the recess. Ask VST about a matching 12V version and a sample behind the chosen cover before repeating the detail across the hotel rooms.

Furniture joinery

A narrow routed furniture edge can hold a COB strip if its PCB width and bend direction fit the design. Check corner clearance and cut positions before drilling final wire exits. VST can help examine a section drawing and discuss prepared leads that suit the furniture's actual assembly sequence.

Equipment panels

A compact equipment slot may use a COB line for illumination or indication when the circuit is already 12V. Check internal space, thermal conditions and access for service. VST can help compare a low-voltage sample with the prototype and discuss a lead route that fits inside the enclosure.

Technical planning

Compare the 14 listed COB models with 12V versions

The comparison separates fixed-color COB from color, CCT and addressable designs. Values are taken from each published model table. Where one cut value is listed for a 12V/24V model, ask for the cutting drawing of the voltage version you choose.

Ordering and cooperation questions

Once the 12V version and prepared lengths are chosen, set the packaging and production terms in the quote.
01

Yes. Ask about a sample of the selected 12V model for your profile. A sample fee may be credited against a later bulk order if agreed in advance.
02

LED strips generally start around 500 meters. The model, prepared leads and private labeling can change the minimum. VST will state the quantity for the quoted configuration.
03

Ask VST about cut lengths, leads, reel labels and packaging for the selected model. A new PCB or deeper customization may require tooling, with cost and terms based on the development scope.
04

Regular production is commonly 2 to 3 weeks. A light modification is typically around 3 to 4 weeks and extensive customization around 4 to 6 weeks. Freight time is separate.
05

LED strip warranty is generally 2 or 3 years; 5 years is available only for selected products. The quotation and order documents must identify the term for your chosen model.
06

For samples, PayPal, Western Union or bank transfer is available with full advance payment. Bulk orders generally use bank transfer with 30% deposit and the remaining 70% before shipment.

Product decisions

12V COB selection questions

For a 12V COB LED strip, the cutting pattern and supply layout matter as much as the visible line. Check these choices against the assembled channel before setting lengths for a repeated build.

No. 12V COB models can differ in width, loading and cut positions. Compare the PCB with usable channel space and decide where wires enter. A short assembled sample lets you check whether the cover and strip sit flat together.

Compare lit samples in the same housing at the intended distance. COB has a continuous emitting surface; SMD packages may be visible in a shallow channel. Check power and color quality separately from that visual difference.

Calculate the load from the chosen model's power per meter, installed length and feed layout. Follow the supply manufacturer's guidance on design margin. VST can help explain the strip specification, while the complete installation circuit needs an electrical check.

Only if that point coincides with an allowed cut position on the chosen version.

A diffuser may still be needed to control glare, cover the channel and protect the assembly. It also changes the line's appearance and output. View the selected 12V COB LED strip through the actual cover, especially when people will see it from nearby.
