Warehouse retrofit

120W LED Corn Light for Retained Warehouse Fixtures

Check your existing warehouse fixtures before choosing a 120W LED corn light for the rollout.
  • Use the published 14,400โ€“16,200 lm output range in your initial aisle calculations.
  • Match E39 or E40 to the installed lamp holder.
  • Direct-wire conversion removes dependence on the old HID ballast.
  • VST can help plan the lighting layout and a trial installation before you replace more lamps.

Plan the storage layout

Check the aisle layout before selecting the lamp

A 120W LED corn light needs to work with your retained reflector. Check the light reaching lower shelves and aisle edges; the lamp's lumen rating alone cannot tell you whether those areas will be adequately lit.
Record rack heights, fixture spacing and the surfaces you need to light. Test the 120W LED corn lamp in a representative fixture with its reflector and cover fitted. That trial should reflect the warehouse as it is used, since comparing lamp wattages leaves the storage layout out of the decision.
✓

Survey one representative bay

Include rack positions and the lowest work surface in the survey. You need the aisle layout to assess shadows that a ceiling photograph may miss.

✓

Lamp lumens and useful light

The lumen value describes the lamp's output. Dirt, shielding and reflector losses affect how much of that light reaches goods and floor markings.

✓

Choose a trial area

Choose a bay with typical obstructions and operating hours. A trial in an unusually open corner may miss problems elsewhere in the warehouse.

Application assessment

Plan the warehouse trial with VST

As a 120W LED corn light manufacturer, VST can help you use the product data and warehouse layout to plan a trial around the racks already in place.
✓

Lighting calculations

With your rack layout, VST can use DIALux to assess fixture positions and light on both the storage faces and the floor.

✓

Keep later orders consistent

Record the agreed base, CCT and model together. VST can refer to that specification when quoting replacements for later warehouse sections.

✓

Thermal assessment

Tell our engineers how much space is inside the fixture and how it operates. Include the retained cover in the trial because it affects the lamp's thermal environment.

✓

Phased supply planning

Send VST the order in which warehouse sections will be converted. Production quantities can then be discussed by phase, subject to scheduling and material availability.

Product definition

What the 120W LED corn light rating tells you

120W is the electrical input rating. It gives no guaranteed mounting height or automatic one-for-one HID replacement.
The VST-CL-120W is a retrofit lamp with a published 360ยฐ distribution. A 120 watt LED corn bulb can suit a reflector designed for a source that emits light around its body. Check how the retained reflector directs that light, especially beside tall racks. The 400W MH or 250W HPS replacement reference depends on an assessment of installed light levels. When selecting a 120W LED corn bulb, account for its position, the reflector's condition and the surfaces you need to illuminate.

Published product

The published 120W model

As your 120W LED corn light supplier, VST can specify the base and CCT you need within the model below.

Configuration details

Fit, color checks and order identification

At the VST 120W LED corn light factory, these checks and packing details can be agreed for your order.

Space around the lamp

Compare the lamp's stated diameter and height with the retained fixture. Allow space to service it as well as clearance in its installed position.

Color measurement

VST's integrating sphere can check CCT and CRI for the selected configuration. Request results for your sample so you receive data for the relevant wattage.

Identifiable cartons

Private labels can identify the selected base and color temperature on cartons, helping keep lamps for separate warehouse phases apart.

Export protection

VST supports protective inner packing and strong outer cartons. The packing should hold the lamp in place and protect its projecting screw base during transit.

Visible lamp components

Check the light source, boards and lamp connection

Inspect the assembly of your 120W LED corn light as well as the illumination it produces.

LED emitters

Light spread around the lamp

LED rows face outward around the lamp, with the host reflector redirecting their light. The model specifies an Epistar source and CRI โ‰ฅ80. For shelf picking, assess light on the rack face as well as on the floor. A bright area directly beneath the fitting may still leave parts of the storage bay poorly lit, so include both surfaces when judging the trial.

LED circuit boards

Check panel attachment and alignment

The circuit boards carry the LED packages and their electrical connections around the lamp. Check panel spacing, alignment and attachment when examining the sample. Secure panels help keep the assembly in its intended position inside the reflector, so inspect them even if the lamp lights normally. A photograph cannot establish board material or internal connections; put any specific construction requirements in the agreed technical specification.

Screw base

Inspect the holder before fitting

The E39 or E40 base connects the lamp electrically and mechanically to the fixture. Match the base and inspect the holder before installation. This 1.1 kg model may load aging components differently from the original lamp. Repair or replace a loose, cracked or heat-damaged holder before conversion. The threads fitting together does not establish that the holder or the rest of the installation is suitable.

Application assessment

Different lighting tasks within the warehouse

Check the 120W LED corn light against each dry indoor task, including obstructions and the fixture you plan to retain.

Warehouse rack aisles

Tall racks need light on picking faces and route markings, with the reflector directing it between shelves. Record rack height, aisle width and the planes where light will be assessed. VST can use those positions for a lighting calculation and suggest a trial bay for your chosen 120W configuration.

Dispatch staging lanes

Indoor dispatch areas need clearly visible pallet staging and pedestrian routes, along with light for packing checks. Note fixture spacing, shadows from loaded pallets and whether inspection takes place at a bench or on the floor. Bring that layout to VST to discuss lamp positions and output before comparing the trial with normal operations.

Maintenance workshops

A retained corn-lamp fixture can light workshop circulation while bench lights serve close repair work. Check machinery sightlines and existing controls before deciding on the general lighting. Our team can help distinguish room-lighting needs from bench tasks and examine the requested electrical arrangement, including which controls still need a compatibility check.

Dry assembly floors

Assembly-floor lighting needs to reach the work even where equipment and overhead services cast shadows. Record task height, obstructions and the required color temperature, with separate inspection lighting where needed. Using the production layout, VST can discuss fixture positions and how to evaluate a sample in the proposed retrofit.

Trade retail warehouses

Trade retail warehouses combine merchandise display with public sightlines, making glare from an exposed source a concern. Check viewing angles and shelf height, then examine goods under the proposed CCT. A color sample and a discussion of the reflector with VST can help you assess the trial before extending it across the sales floor.

Select the base and color temperature, then discuss labels and packaging for the warehouse order. VST also considers structural changes to suit fixture constraints. Changes to the electrical design, protection or controls require separate engineering evaluation; they are not standard features of the 120W model.
Production includes incoming, in-process, finished-product and outgoing checks. Agree which output and color measurements are needed for the 120W configuration and request those records with the order. The factory's testing capability alone does not establish that a particular batch passed a particular test.
A qualified electrician must isolate the circuit and verify that it is de-energized. Follow the approved conversion instructions to remove or bypass the HID ballast. Check the supply, holder, structural support and clearances before fitting the lamp. Reassemble the luminaire safely before restoring power, then assess illumination in the trial area.

Ordering from VST

Plan the warehouse order and support terms

Set the commercial details before scheduling each phase.
01

The starting quantity listed for this model is 100 lamps. As your 120W LED corn light OEM supplier, VST can discuss branding together with the lamp specification. Special structural or electrical requests may change the order conditions.
02

Yes. Agree on the base, CCT and trial fixture when arranging an evaluation sample. Sample charges may be credited against a later bulk order by agreement, so confirm that condition and the sample-development schedule separately.
03

Typical production takes 2โ€“3 weeks for regular products, about 3โ€“4 weeks for light customization and 4โ€“6 weeks for extensive customization. The order scope and production schedule affect the actual timing. Allow for transit separately.
04

Yes. VST can discuss private labels and custom packaging. Provide the identification needed for each warehouse phase so the artwork distinguishes its lamp configurations. Extensive changes may incur tooling charges, which should be included in the quotation.
05

Bulk orders normally use bank transfer, with a 30% deposit and 70% due before shipment. Pay for samples in full in advance by PayPal, Western Union or bank transfer. Agree the payment arrangement before releasing the order.
06

Regular products generally have 3- or 5-year warranty options. Confirm the term for the quoted model before scheduling the order; the longer warranty is not available automatically for every configuration.

Product questions

Questions before a warehouse retrofit

Before ordering a 120W LED corn light, check any special environmental or electrical requirements that could prevent a straightforward conversion. A matching holder and nominal power rating leave these questions unresolved, even when the initial fixture survey looks promising.

Yes. Send a fixture photograph, the old lamp identification and a description of the area to be lit. Add quantity and destination when known. You can begin the discussion with that information and provide a drawing later if clearance or mounting questions remain.

Choose according to the condition and optical usefulness of the host.
Host condition Practical route
Sound body and useful distribution Evaluate a lamp conversion
Damaged holder or reflector Assess repair cost first
Poor distribution for changed racks Compare a complete luminaire
Include access labor in the comparison.

The IP20 rating does not establish suitability for cold storage. Describe condensation, cleaning conditions and low-temperature starting requirements so the configuration can be assessed before ordering. Suitability for a dry warehouse does not extend automatically to a freezer or a space with temperature cycles.

The standard configuration is non-dimmable. Retaining a dimmer requires an explicitly compatible lamp and control arrangement. If you need reduced output or occupancy control, provide the device details and switching duty so a suitable option can be evaluated separately.

No. The model lists CE and RoHS, while some destinations or projects require other approvals. Request documentation identifying the quoted model and the relevant scope. Those listings do not establish UL, ETL or any additional certification required for your project.
