Exterior replacement

100W LED Floodlight for Better Planned Exterior Upgrades

Plan your 100W LED floodlight replacement around the area you need to see.
  • 15,000 lm published output for the FL20-100W platform.
  • Lens and glass-cover configurations for different distributions.
  • Documented housing dimensions for existing mounting positions.
  • VST engineering support for layout and optical selection.

Exterior replacement

Plan coverage from your existing mounting points

Replacing a fixture is an opportunity to correct dark parking bays, uncomfortable sightlines or wasted light beyond the site. Start with the layout that already exists.
A 100W LED floodlight directs light onto outdoor surfaces from a wall or pole. To choose a replacement, look beyond the old lamp's wattage. Note the pedestrian routes, vehicle turning areas and neighboring windows. VST can use a site photo and approximate dimensions to suggest an optic. Once the target light levels and mounting positions are known, a lighting calculation can check the proposed coverage.
✓

Existing fixing space

Compare the documented body outline with conduit, wall corners and bracket access. Leave room to adjust the aim without trapping the supply cable.

✓

Coverage continuity

Mark the gaps between existing pools of light. Changing the distribution or aiming may solve these gaps more effectively than increasing input power.

✓

Consistent exterior appearance

Choose the housing finish and light color for the whole building frontage. Record any deliberate differences between parking, entrance and service zones.

Project fit

Discuss the fixture against your site layout

As a 100W LED floodlight manufacturer, VST can help match the fixture options to your exterior layout.
✓

Layout support

VST's lighting team uses DIALux to check fixture positions and coverage. You can examine dark zones and light near the site boundary before placing the full replacement order.

✓

Measured sample data

VST can use an integrating sphere to measure the selected sample's output, light color and color rendering. Those measurements apply to the tested version; other options need their own data.

✓

Order configuration records

Record the agreed optic, finish and electrical options together. When several buildings need the same fixture, this gives you a consistent reference for their appearance and purchasing schedule.

✓

Direct technical communication

VST's electrical, structural and lighting engineers can help with product questions. A photo of a difficult wall position lets us discuss the clearance or aiming problem directly.

Selection basis

How will a 100W floodlight illuminate your site?

Wattage tells you the electrical input. The optic and mounting position determine where that light falls.
A wide-beam 100W LED floodlight spreads light over a broader surface. A narrower beam concentrates it toward a selected target, depending on the mounting geometry. The FL20 family has both options. Start with the task: vehicle circulation, a building detail or a service work area. Then use the relevant photometric data to assess the distribution. Beam angle alone cannot tell you how many square meters will be adequately lit. Obstructions, aiming angle and distance all affect the result.

Optical configurations

100W LED Flood Lights: Lens or Glass Cover

Your 100W LED floodlight supplier can quote either the documented lens-equipped version or the glass-cover version at the same rated power.

Construction and handling

Outdoor construction and packing

Check how the fixture handles heat and outdoor exposure, and how it will be protected in transit.

Optical choice

Several lens distributions are listed for this model. Choose the light pattern for your site while keeping the same nominal input power.

Passive heat release

Rear aluminum fins expose surface area to the surrounding air. Keeping this area clear supports the fixture's intended thermal path.

Outdoor enclosure

The FL20-100W carries an IP65 enclosure rating. A separately suitable electrical connection is still needed at the installation point.

Protective export packing

VST can arrange packaging that restrains the fixture during transit. As a 100W LED floodlight OEM supplier, we also support project-specific carton identification.

Component decisions

Check the source, housing and mounting yoke

These three visible components affect light output, cooling and aiming.

Light source

SMD3030 LED packages

The FL20-100W specification lists SMD3030 LEDs, the small light-producing packages behind the optical face. If color recognition matters at your site, choose the standard or optional color-rendering level to suit that task. The package type alone cannot tell you the complete fixture's output or color consistency. Compare the selected sample's optical data and keep the specified light color consistent in later installations.

Heat management

Finned aluminum housing

The rear housing gives heat a path from the assembly toward ambient air. Its fins need open space, particularly when replacing a fixture close to an eave or wall recess. The installation should not cover the rear with insulation or signage. Consider nearby surfaces and maintenance access as well as the visible front dimensions when deciding whether the body fits your mounting position.

Mechanical aiming

Pivoting mounting yoke

The U-shaped yoke lets you adjust the aiming direction. Leave access to its side pivots and fixing base during installation. Before reusing fasteners, check the wall or support and the bracket's hole spacing. Brackets that look similar may have different fixing centers. Route the cable so it reaches the connection and stays clear of pinch points throughout the intended adjustment range.

Application planning

Exterior tasks around commercial buildings

Place 100W LED floodlights around the surfaces and sightlines that matter.

Commercial parking bays

A 100W LED floodlight can light modest parking areas shared by vehicles and pedestrians. Check mounting height, identify the darkest bay and note nearby windows before selecting the beam. VST can use these details to prepare an optical selection and layout proposal for coverage along the parking row.

Warehouse pedestrian approaches

Pedestrian approaches to a warehouse need recognizable curbs and doorways without directing light into approaching eyes. Identify canopy shadows and the route between the gate and entrance, including any conflicting vehicle traffic. Our team can assess aiming from the available wall positions and suggest a light color suitable for the surrounding exterior lighting.

Outdoor service work areas

In a sheltered service yard, an inspection bench or maintenance position may need focused light after dark. Describe the work, overhead obstructions and surfaces that could reflect light toward the operator. VST can help choose a beam and sample for that position before you extend the lighting to other areas.

Commercial facade accents

Directional floodlighting can pick out details on a low commercial facade while limiting light on nearby surfaces. Check the setback, finish of the material and feature you want to emphasize. VST can discuss a lens option and provide the product data your designer needs to assess the proposed light pattern.

Vehicle access gates

At a commercial vehicle gate, illumination should help reveal the entry threshold without obscuring the view toward approaching traffic. Locate the camera sightline, barrier position and available electrical connection before selecting the fixture aim. We can assist with the luminaire arrangement and identify control questions for the gate-system installation team.

VST supports project labels, carton markings, housing finishes and suitable electrical options. With VST as your 100W LED floodlight OEM supplier, you can specify the same version across locations. Changes beyond the published options need an engineering check before we price them.
Incoming components, assembly checks, final inspection and outgoing checks form the production control sequence. For a multi-site exterior order, the approved optic and finish should remain identifiable through packing.
Have a qualified electrician isolate the circuit. Check the supply and fixing substrate, secure the yoke with suitable anchors, protect the connection and keep the rear fins unobstructed. Set the aim with the circuit safely controlled, then check the illuminated area after dark.

Order planning

Plan the replacement order

Practical answers before you schedule purchasing.
01

Yes. VST can supply a sample so you can assess the proposed build on one representative position. As a 100W LED floodlight supplier, we can discuss crediting its charge toward a later bulk order by agreement; free samples are not assumed.
02

A general starting point is 100 pieces for this lower-power fixture category. The actual minimum depends on the chosen build and labeling scope, so the quotation should state the quantity applicable to your order.
03

Allow a typical 2 to 3 weeks for regular production. Light customization normally takes 3 to 4 weeks, while extensive changes may require 4 to 6 weeks. Transit and site scheduling are additional, and material availability affects the agreed production date.
04

Samples are paid entirely in advance using PayPal, Western Union or bank transfer. A bulk order normally uses bank transfer, split into a 30% deposit and 70% before shipment. The proforma invoice records the payment arrangement.
05

Send a short description with photographs or video identifying the affected product. VST can discuss replacement support separately or with the next shipment. The published model warranty is listed in the Datasheet; the applicable claim terms belong in your order documents.
06

Yes, custom labels and packaging are supported. Supply the required site codes and carton markings before production documents are released. The quotation should identify any setup charge and avoid mixing differently configured fixtures under one carton description.

Product questions

Resolve the retrofit interfaces

Before quoting a 100W LED floodlight, check how it will work with the site's electrical supply and existing equipment. The questions below address the details that lamp wattage and housing photos leave unanswered, particularly if you plan to retain the cables, switching and operating hours.

A direct replacement needs more than a comparison of lamp wattages. Check the existing illumination and required task level, then assess the proposed layout using the selected optic's data. Have the electrician check the old ballast equipment too: a complete AC floodlight is not designed to operate as a replacement lamp on a retained discharge-lamp ballast.

A few site details are sufficient for the first discussion.
Photo Mounting point and target area
Estimate Height and distance to the far edge
Constraint Windows, traffic or operating hours
These inputs establish what needs measurement before a final layout.

Possibly, but the photocell's LED-load and switching ratings must match the installed circuit. Steady operating wattage does not describe the full switching demand. Have the electrician compare the controller documentation with the selected driver's electrical data, including the number of fixtures switched together.

No battery-backed function is established for the listed configuration. If the area forms part of an emergency route, provide that requirement separately so the appropriate system can be assessed. Do not treat ordinary mains floodlighting as proof of emergency-lighting compliance.

DALI and DMX512 are the published control options; that does not establish compatibility with a phase-cut wall dimmer. Identify the existing control device before ordering. The driver and control interface must be selected together, with appropriate wiring and commissioning arrangements.
