Industrial conversion

100W LED corn light for planned industrial replacement

Plan your 100W LED corn light replacement with model data and a clear scope for the electrical conversion.
  • Use the 12,000–13,500 lm output range to assess the lighting task.
  • Check the fixture supply against the AC100–305V input range.
  • The Type B model requires ballast removal or bypass.
  • VST can discuss lamp configuration, samples and repeat supply for each planned conversion stage.

Define the conversion scope

Allow for the electrical conversion work

A 100W LED corn light retrofit changes the wiring inside the HID fitting. Check that wiring and the operating pattern before comparing the cost of a lamp conversion with a complete luminaire replacement.
Group fittings by circuit, lamp technology and the access needed to work on them. Include electrical labor, fixture repairs and conversion identification when costing the 100 watt LED corn lamp option. Keeping a sound fitting is worthwhile only if its distribution still suits the work below.
✓

Identify the original system

Record accessible lamp and ballast details. HID systems with the same lamp wattage may still require different conversion work.

✓

Record the lighting hours

Use annual lighting hours to assess energy use and plan access. Distinguish continuously occupied areas from spaces used for only part of a shift.

✓

Set the trial's acceptance criteria

Identify the important work planes before testing. Check light on assembly surfaces and circulation routes instead of relying on an overall impression of brightness.

Electrical planning

Support for planning the conversion

As a 100W LED corn light manufacturer, VST can help match the lamp configuration to the electrical and optical requirements of your site.
✓

Conversion questions resolved early

Describe the original system to VST before ordering. Establishing its wiring requirements helps you define the installation work to be priced.

✓

Optical information for the trial

Request output and color data for the selected lamp. VST's integrating-sphere capability can provide an optical reference for the trial.

✓

Separate shipping and conversion costs

Discuss shipping with VST when obtaining the quotation. Keep product, transport and installation labor costs separate when comparing the available retrofit options.

✓

Continuity across project stages

Keep the agreed specification when replacing circuits in stages. VST can discuss production quantities for later purchases against your planned schedule.

Product definition

100W LED corn light: power and replacement suitability

A 100W lamp is not automatically the right replacement for every 250W fitting.
VST lists the VST-CL-100W as a 250W MH/HPS replacement candidate with 360° distribution. Compare light from the complete luminaire, taking its reflector and condition into account. Correct conversion to a 100W LED corn lamp takes the old ballast out of service, so use the existing system's total input when comparing energy consumption. For the 100W LED corn light option, assess illumination at the work plane and the work needed to retain the fixture before choosing the conversion route.

Published product

Review the VST-CL-100W model

As a 100W LED corn light supplier, VST can identify the required base and CCT in the proposal for this model.

Configuration details

Checks and identification for the replacement order

At VST's 100W LED corn light factory, these checks can support your order. Agree the required results rather than treating general capability as a performance guarantee.

Lamp dimensions

Use the published dimensions to check fitting space. Allow for inserting and turning the lamp, as well as where it will sit inside the enclosure.

Photometric checks

Integrating-sphere equipment can measure output, CCT and CRI. Make sure any results you request identify the lamp model and configuration tested.

Order identification

Put the agreed configuration reference on the product label to distinguish the lamp from electrically different items in similar packaging when ordering again.

Protected shipment

Inner supports and a protective outer carton can limit movement during handling. Agree how the packing will protect the metal threads and exposed emitting faces.

Visible lamp components

Inspect the assembly before conversion

Inspect the lamp itself as part of your 100W LED corn light evaluation.

LED emitters

Check where the LED light reaches

LED packages around the body emit light that a suitable reflector redirects toward the work. Beams and services can still cast shadows even when total lamp output is adequate, so assess the actual work plane. This model uses Epistar LEDs. Where the project requires output and color data for a specific configuration, request those results; the LED brand name alone does not provide them.

Screw base

Match the base to the converted holder

The E39 or E40 base carries the electrical supply from the converted holder into the lamp. Choose the matching native base and have the holder inspected during the electrical work. Worn contacts can compromise the installation even at the correct supply voltage. Keep the approved wiring method recorded for the converted fitting, so its lamp requirements remain clear when it is serviced later.

LED circuit boards

Check the panels for handling damage

The boards position and connect LEDs across the lamp faces. Inspect them on receipt and during fitting for loose panels or damage. Forcing the lamp through a narrow opening can put pressure on those boards. Visual checks can reveal assembly damage, but they cannot verify electrical insulation or internal test results. Specify any construction evidence required in addition to the normal visual inspection of incoming goods.

Video introductions

About VST and working with the team

Company and customer introductions accompany the product information.

Meet the company supplying the lamps

Watch the VST introduction when considering the industrial supply order. Alongside the quotation, it gives you background for discussing technical communication, order coordination and the product information needed to convert several operating circuits.

A customer's view of cooperation

Customer feedback is another part of assessing the service behind the order. Think about the answers and handovers your industrial replacement needs, then consider those priorities together with the technical assessment and commercial proposal.

Application assessment

Lighting checks for each industrial work area

For each area, assess the 100W LED corn light option against the circuit work and the lighting task.

Industrial assembly halls

Assembly halls need general light across benches and walkways, including areas shaded by equipment. Record fixture positions, work-plane height and how the existing circuits are organized before scheduling conversion. Our team can discuss the lamp configuration and layout information so the trial reflects the production conditions in which it will be used.

Warehouse replenishment zones

Warehouse replenishment changes the shadows around stock and shelf labels as goods move through the aisle. Choose a trial position after checking loaded racks, picking faces and access for conversion work. VST can help assess output and layout for that normal working arrangement, rather than drawing conclusions from an empty aisle.

Equipment repair rooms

Repair rooms need general light around machinery, with directed light for work inside it where necessary. Identify those tasks and any heat close to the retained fixtures before choosing the lamp. VST can discuss a color configuration and room-lighting sample, while specialist inspection lighting remains a separate requirement to assess.

Dispatch sorting areas

Sorting benches need readable labels and visible package edges despite the shadows cast by changing stacks. Check the work surface, typical stack height and available daylight before accepting the lighting. Share the layout with VST to discuss a 100W trial for both the sorting task and circulation around the benches.

Trade showrooms

Trade showrooms with high ceilings need light on merchandise without uncomfortable views of the source. Check reflector shielding and display height, and compare the proposed CCT with adjacent lights. VST can help with a sample comparison and optical choices so you assess presentation as well as the potential electrical savings.

Discuss your project

Discuss the industrial conversion

Send VST the supply details, existing lamp type and planned quantity. As your 100W LED corn light supplier, we can help specify the replacement and resolve the remaining conversion questions.

Specify the base, color temperature and product identification, then discuss packing for the installation sequence. A different voltage, control interface or emergency function needs separate engineering work. Changing the label does not add those functions to the standard lamp.
VST carries out incoming, process, final and outgoing checks. Base the electrical and optical acceptance requirements on the agreed 100W configuration. If you need a particular test record, specify it before ordering and agree the method, sample and reporting scope.
Have a qualified electrician isolate and verify the supply. Follow the approved instructions to remove or bypass the ballast for direct AC operation. Inspect the retained wiring, holder and support before fitting the matched lamp and restoring the enclosure. Identify the converted fixture and test operation before returning the circuit to service.

Commercial questions for the conversion program

Clarify the applicable terms before committing the project quantity.
01

The published MOQ is 100 lamps. As your 100W LED corn light OEM supplier, VST can quote branding and engineering work alongside the lamp order. Special construction or electrical changes require a separate commercial agreement.
02

Yes. Specify the fixture and base when arranging an evaluation sample. Its charge may be credited against a later matching bulk order by agreement. Include that condition in the sample offer; it is not an unconditional refund.
03

Regular production generally needs 2–3 weeks. Light customization takes approximately 3–4 weeks, and extensive customization 4–6 weeks, depending on the agreed scope and production plan. Schedule transport separately from those production ranges.
04

VST supports private labels and custom packaging. Send the references and artwork needed to identify the lamp and carton consistently. Extensive development may require tooling; agree its scope and any charge before production.
05

For bulk orders, the normal bank-transfer terms are 30% as a deposit, followed by 70% before dispatch. Samples need 100% advance payment, using bank transfer, PayPal or Western Union. Set out the chosen arrangement in the order agreement.
06

State the warranty for the quoted configuration in the order. Regular models generally offer 3- or 5-year options, with the applicable coverage agreed for the product you select.

Product questions

Electrical limits and conversion costs

The supply and controls need checking when you choose a 100W LED corn light replacement. A product photograph cannot establish those requirements. Resolve them before costing the whole conversion or deciding that the project needs only a lamp purchase.

Start with supply voltage, the old lamp identification and a fixture photograph. Add operating hours and an approximate lamp count if available. That is enough to begin a discussion while the full site survey is underway; any missing circuit or fixture details can then be identified.

No: 480V is outside the published AC100–305V input range.
Supply condition Decision
Within the published range Continue the complete installation check
480V Specify a different suitable design
Voltage not established Have the circuit verified first
A different base does not alter input capability.

The standard configuration is non-dimmable. Phase-cut and other dimming systems require an explicitly compatible design. If you need reduced output, specify the control method so the proposed lamp and control can be assessed together.

Power factor alone cannot answer that. Obtain the lamp's inrush data and assess it against the switching device, circuit protection and intended arrangement. Dividing a switch's nominal rating by steady-state lamp watts does not establish how many lamps it can safely switch.

Include the work that each route requires.
Lamp conversion Complete replacement
Lamp, rewiring and host repairs Luminaire and mounting work
Retained reflector condition New optical distribution
Existing access constraints Removal and disposal scope
Use your operating hours and electricity rate for the energy calculation; no universal payback period applies.
